Friendly, welcoming staff in a beautifully located hotel, situated on a quiet hillside with fabulous views. The restaurant on the open terrace serves great food with excellent service. Rooms are comfortable and clean, a little small but this doesn't detract from the overall feel of the hotel. This is a true island escape and with little to do in the surrounding area - perfect for a completely relaxing holiday.

If peace, tranquility and a stunning setting (just an hour away from Dubrovnik) is what you are looking for then look no further. Guest House Simunovic has the best location on the bay. Its sunny terrace has stunning views of the whole bay and the sleepy little village of Sudurad. You can get into the sea from a quay just below the guesthouse or walk less than 5 mins along a rocky path to the nearest beach. The room was basic but clean with good air conditioning and plenty of hot water. Our room had its own small fridge and cooker and there is also an outdoor kitchen with a full-sized fridge used by other guests. The terrace has 4 tables- two are in full sun most of the day, one is shaded by trees all day.
The owners were around and brought us cakes/pancakes every day. We were also offered home cooked meals for 40E a head with wine.
We hired bikes and cycled the east ride over to Luka Šipanska, took the ferry to Lopud and walked to the church at the top of the island. You can hire kayaks from the hotel next door.
We loved our time here and would not hesitate to recommend it to like minded people.

It was the perfect stay for our 9 nights. A relaxing island with the best hosts. They waited for us at the port and took us to the flat to show us everything. They were always attentive to our needs. We could be relaxed cooking our breakfast and dinner, being able to wash our clothes and have a very peaceful time. María and her mother were super hosts, lending us things we needed and even giving us some vegetables from their garden. Thank you to both!
