My 4th stay here, so I can only repeat: I have been traveling in Croatia since many years - meanwhile in all 21 counties (županije incl. Zagreb) - and I must have stayed in more than 30 different guesthouses and hotels. From the smallest family pension in the countryside to large 4-star hotels. And the Boutique Hotel Vela Vrata was one of my very best experiences ever! :D Beautiful, lovely decorated house and very clean room with nice furniture. This time I treated myself to the Junior Suite with balcony and the large room with its beautiful antique mirror is really a hit!
Very friendly staff, SUPER breakfast with fresh and high quality food from a large selection!!! :D Well working WiFi, free parking and I also like the big indoor pool very much.
Buzet itself is very romantic and beautiful. This time I have stayed for two nights on my way home to Dalmatia. The Hotel has a really supreme restaurant and it was wonderful to eat again one of the best dinner I had ever in Croatia.
Another perfect stay and I will quite sure stay here again.

We knew in advance that the phone network and WiFi are poor and that is just what we needed. The restaurant in the surrounding towns are great. If you plan to eat at home stock up before coming to the house. The nearest grocery store is 15 minutes away by car. If you are looking for a nice time offline and nice walks in nature I would highly recommend this location.

It was a private house next to a river with the city of Buzet as view. Nice place with a great host, we arrived late so we checked ourselves in. Little tip: dont forget to turn on the boiler in advance if you like to have warm water😉

The apartment was super cozy, the private pool amazing, the owner very nice and kind, Istria is a very beautiful region. We had lot of relax, in the nature, with no cars or noises, only stars and silence. There are nice restaurants near the place, you canuse the bbq, park your car and just enjoy.

The rooms are modern, newly built and very comfortable. For the courtesy of the owner, a maximum of 10 is not enough. So, we rented the apartment quite late in the evening, and since it was a non-working day, there were not too many choices in the area for something to eat. As the owners, in addition to renting rooms, also own a fine restaurant that serves home-made pasta, so we intended to have dinner there. But the restaurant was already closed. The kind owners invited us to come for dinner anyway, where they told us that they would also prepare breakfast for us in the morning. We thank them once again for their kindness and we definitely recommend this accommodation.

Big apartment with a great view! It was clean and the bed was really nice. 18min walk to the beautiful centre of Buzet (check out wine bar Melody for a sip at the top of the hill) and a 15min drive to the kotli waterfall/pools.
Situated just 30 km from Aquapark Istralandia, bungalo features accommodation in Buzet with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as bicycle parking.
Beautiful small town in Istra. It has plenty to offer but you will need a car. It is home of truffles and amazing liquor Teranino.
For food visit Taverna Most and around 10min car drive is Old River restaurant. Both excellent!

We visited Buzet around 5pm in late July and it was extremely quiet and a bit underwhelming with only 2 cafes open. Nearby towns are more lively and beautiful. However it is supposed to be buzzing in autumn for truffle season.

Very nice town, lovely locals, food and local distillery products and tryouts of various drinks cocktails. We called the town of truffles as here it is plenty of them and you can taste even beer with truffles, cookies, salt, cheese, butter, oil, etc. Everything can be tryout with a flavor of truffle.

We only stayed near Buzet (in Vrh) for 2 nights and it was...
We only stayed near Buzet (in Vrh) for 2 nights and it was the perfect length. We relaxed at the pool on our property, and did a truffle hunting tour/experience which was the reason for our visit and it was fantastic. The food was amazing in this region.

Buzet is a nice little town to visit.
Buzet is a nice little town to visit. From Buzet we drove with the car to the beaches and towns of Porec, Rovinj, Opatija and some local towns like Hum, Kotli and Motovun. Also the Ucka mountain.
We stayed in Buzet for 10 days, and that was enough for us to see alot of the north, east and west side of Istrie.

The host welcomed us warmly and gave us the keys and basic info on the accommodation. Location is amazing, very quiet with a view on Buzet town (takes you 10min by car to reach city). Since we stayed in early April, it was bit cold, but we got the room heated up with AC in no time. There is a free wi-fi and parking available. The kitchen has basics: kettle, dishes, cleaning products, but no additional amenities.
Well furnished and equipped, cozy old house, in old town Buzet. Great view from the house. Beautiful nature - national park Ucka. Istrian beaches reachable in half an hour... Really enjoyed it and I hope we'll come here again.
The location was beautiful right in the centre of old town. Easy to park in private hotel car park. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We loved our stay. 😃
