Beautiful resort and a view. Great for kids, they have a park and a nice caffee bar. Food could honestly be better, like more choices, but apart from that resort is great. Overall very nice.

Our stay at Apartments Irena was lovely. The apartment was very clean and nice. Both bedrooms come with a nice view and the front terrace is a good place to relax. Allthough the apartment is right on the street, it was extremely relaxing to stay there and the traffic was really low to almost non existant. The location is great for both relaxing and exploring the island, the beach in Bozava is easily accessible by foot within 5, 10 minutes and offers great pine tree shade during the day. Lastly, the host was great - he greeted us at arrival and helped us out with advice on where to go. When our car broke down on the way to the ferry (after checkout) he was extremely helpful and has drove 10 km just to help us start the car again. Thanks for everything! I can only wholeheartedly recommend this place :)

Little village full of nice people that are greeting you every time they see you. 2 stores, Studenac is well equipped. Nice beaches, enough space for everybody, so you feel like there is nobody with you. Super clean and clear sea, beautiful blue and green colors. 4 restaurants, all kinds of food for everybody. A lot of cats 😊

Quiet coastal village with harbour on Dugi Otok.
Quiet coastal village with harbour on Dugi Otok. Has 3 reasonable restaurants, 1 shop, 2 hotels and a daily passenger ferry from Zadar. It is only about 2km across the island to sandy Sakarun beach and other nearby places. There is also a daily bus that connects Bozava with Veli Rat and Brbinj that has a car ferry to Zadar. Getting around the island is a bit limiting unless you hire a car on the mainland and bring it over on the ferry.

Dober dan! We had such a wonderful stay in Bozava! The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was exceptional, the rooms were nice with a beautiful view of the sea and the village. The beds were very comfortable, clean room and the grounds were very well maintained. The restaurant's in the village were quaint with exceptional menus, food and service. The people in the village were kind and welcoming and we are already planning a return visit. The church service on Sunday was divine. The tour around the island was breathtaking. This visit exceeded all my expectations of my first of many visits to the island of Dugi Otok! Well done Bozava! What a gem!! Magnifico!

This is a rest from the crowds in Zadar.
This is a rest from the crowds in Zadar. The swimming from the quayside is perfect. Its a 1hr walk or 10 min bus to Sakarun beach which is amazing. Lots of trails through the olive groves and around the coast to enjoy. The bigger supermarket has much better prices than the smaller one. The bar on the corner also seemed better value than the other (great pizzas).
There is a Roman sarcophagus in the fields above the village. Ask the postman to show you as its his farm (he sells cheese and olive oil at the harbour on some eves too).

Unfortunately pituresque hiking path from the church Mala gospa on the hill above Božava to the vilage Dragove it's overgrown and badly marked.
