Welcoming from the hosts, they made us feel like family-even brought some extra things we asked for, clean apartment and had all that you'd need. LOVED the AC (they had it on when we got there, so we entered a nice cool apartment). We would definitely come back here.

Grat location, 100m from the beach. The apartment had everything you need from kitchen supplies. Also has AC unit which is really nice. There are some tables and chairs to sit in the garden where is shade and owner also let us prepare barbecue. There was everything for barbecue, wood, coal, metal grid. Baške Oštarije are a great base for many hiking trails on Velebit mountain. We climbed 10 peaks in 4 days and not one starting point was more then a 20 minute ride away from Baške Oštarije. The village itself has no store, so you need to do your shopping beforehand, or drive to Gospić or Karlobag (20 mins) for groceries, or any other service. There is one restaurant in the village - Hostel Baške Oštarije, and a cheese store with local award-winning cheese.
