I liked that I had to use Google Translate to communicate with owners. Why? Because it made the experience of being with a genuine local and real. I learned how to use it in an easily shared conversation. I also liked that the home is in a small village and near a wonderful nature reserve. The care to prepare meals for me, what I wanted, didn't want (meat), and whenever I wanted from their own garden was outstanding. Being personally taken to the nature reserve and to an, ATM was above and beyond service. My work as a customer service consultant for major corporations like Ford, BMW, Harley Davidson, etc. qualifies me to describe this experience as a real treat, but only if you if you want to learn about the Croatian culture.

The house dates from 1740 and entering feels like a time travel. The location across the river in the middle of the Sava floodplain nature park is stunning. I've never seen so many storchs. The host lady was very kind.
