The view was stunning. Well worth getting a room on the harbour side. Bed was comfortable. Location was perfect for walking and proximity to restaurants and all other amenities. Private car park at the back of the hotel that is monitored by camera. Very good breakfast as well. We would absolutely stay there again.

We were a little mystified at breakfast,as we were the only customers, and it wasn't a buffet. The waitress turned up about 10 minutes late, so we were trying to get into a locked room. When she turned up we expected maybe fresh rolls , coffee and ham/ ham etc. what she brought us was coffee ,juice, butter and cake and jams. Then disappeared , so I went and asked for milk. She brought milk , then a toasted ham & cheese sandwich, then after another 5 minutes a boiled egg apiece. In the end it was a good breakfast, but a menu presented at the beginning would have cleared up our expectations.

Although the suite was luxurious in every detail, we must mention that the real luxury was the kindness, generosity and attentiveness of the hosts. Nektarios and his nephew George made sure that every need we had was satisfied. This included bringing us to the local farmers market and, for one of our evenings, bringing us a home-cooked meal made by Nektarios’s wife (it was fabulous!). We feel that we made real friends and we hope to come back someday on another trip to Crete to see them again. Truly a unique experience for us, such a remarkable example of the Cretan generosity.

The location was supreme, the apartment was immaculately cleaned and equipped with everything I could've asked for and more. The hosts welcomed us with local sweets and full breakfast facilities. They were also super thoughtful and attentive in equipping the apartment with everything a guest might need for a carefree stay, including all kinds of toiletries and cleaning supplies. The cute gifts they left for us were such a pleasant surprise! I had the best stay and hope to be back soon!
