There was a lovely little patio area outside the apartment where you could sit and enjoy the lovely sunshine. THE taverna was only 100 metres away. The hosts were very easy to contact.

Had a short but excellent stay here in Volissos. Stratos is a great host... kind, friendly and helpful! The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed... including good wifi. The apartment is brand new, stylish and cozy right at the heart of the village.
Loved the decor. Fully equipped kitchen with Coffee machine, coffee capsules, teas etc. Fully equipped bathroom with towels, bathrobes, swimming pool towels and toiletries.
Furniture brand new and really comfy. Amazing mattresses.
The room downstairs was the same.
Swimming pool was small but we really enjoyed it.
Loved this place and definitely will come back.

A great view from upstairs rooms. Throughout the night, our windows were open, never needed any climate control thanks to cooling wind and the sound... The sound of the sea was always inside. If you want silence and the sound of nature, just go for it :) Anna will welcome you.

In my experience Volissos is a beautiful and quiet village with a wonderful scenery. There are lots of subjects for beautiful photographs, due to the rich colors in the sunlight, the medieval villages and of course the mountains versus the ocean. Normally I don't take pictures everywhere I go, but I couldn't resist and took alot this time.
There are several lonely, quiet and romantic beaches with showers and changing cabins. The people I met, who mostly spoke some English, were really friendly, helpful and welcoming - though I would strongly recommend learnig at least some greek phrases, it really opens up the conversation and makes socialising easier. I wish I learned more :D.
When I arrived at Chios, I rented a car, like so many others and have to say, for me, it was the best way to be mobile and I really liked driving there- it was fun ;). The streets around Volissos are really ok too.
Hiking would be one activity I would have liked to try, but for me it was just to hot :D. I am really sensitive to sunburn and heat, so I wouldn't recommend hiking in summertime for people with similiar sensitivity for heat. But it was just more relaxing, swimming and exploring by car for me then. I didn't miss hiking much.
I went to 3 different restaurants and had breakfast at my apartement and everywhere the food was really delicous, fresh and with such rich taste.
I enjoyed my short visit to Volissos very much.
