bus transport hub for traveller without rental car. it has all the tourist facilities including vodafone shop and a good-size sklavenitis supermarket for self-catering. in nov there are still eateries open from street food, to restaurants including a 24hr bakery and mcdonalds.
a hidden gem is prehistoric museum of thera with the akrotiri frescos beautifully displayed that you can enjoy all to yourself if you come at opening hour.

Fira should be the first choice of location to stay (if you can get good accommodation for the right price range). The convenience is terrific and in particular if you decide not to hire a car.
Note that Fira is more expensive than other locations in Santorini. If you have a week to stay, you can depend on the public buses alone to access most places

Loved the walk to Oira! Loved the walk overlooking along the clifftops the Calderra (first part of the Oia walk). Recommend the nearby Lukumum eatery.
More support for de-sexing programmes for Santorini's cats would be a very good idea. Please don't buy a silly cat souvenir - donate a little money to a local animal rescue instead! (e.g. https://www.santorini-cats.com/ )

Beautiful cliffs and majestic views of the Water. The people in Santorini were not friendly like some of the other islands probably because there are so many tourists here. I would say because of the crowds and just the overall feeling here we would recommend going to Naxos or Mykonos.

facing the east side this hotel is a basic one. however for the price it delivered what it promised. a nice big room and a big breakfast spread on the eastern terrace. not too far from bus station of fira. stay there if you dont want to burn a hole in your pocket and still enjoy Santorini. they also arranged a pickup car for us from the airport during late check in.
Wonderful boutique hotel located in the center of Fira, with stone Santorini vibes. The host’s where wonderful, big thank you to Angelo and Nick, who are always there to answer all questions.
The hotel also offers a complementary pick up service from the airport (available until 20:00).
The Fira bus stop is only located within a 5 minute walk.
Great hotel, especially considering what you pay! Not luxurious, but has an amazing view!!!! I personally preferred staying at Fira than in Oia. If I come back to Santorini, I would certainly consider staying here again.
