    Lovely island. Lots to explore.

Lovely island. Lots to explore. We went on the traditional boat and went swimming. Great picnic lunch on the beach! We also went on the fishing trip. Also great food and interesting day! We loved Georgia’s and Maria’s taverna and the KaliStrata restaurant. Down in the harbour, the restaurant towards the end of the bay, thasos, was superb!

There's a lot to Symi, while we as a family wouldn't like to be there in high summer May and Sept / Oct perfect. It's still busy but without the intense sun. We were genuinely sad to leave, and while we enjoyed the port with all it's action, great food, herbs and magical juices, when we return it will be to Pedi.

Symi is a unique place , with boat ' taxis ' to take to the fabulous beaches of St George ' s bay and ' Nanou bay . These are easy to book and run trips daily in season. Symi is a small port with very friendly people , shops , cafes , restaurants and lovely walks up through the town/ traditional houses. Definitely worth a visit for a day trip or a short stay

Views coming in on ferry are breathtaking. Good choice of restaurants. Boat taxis to beaches are reasonably priced and run regularly. Area around the port can be busy during the day with day trippers.

Great island. Intimate, small, friendly. Lovely people, great views. Recommend seeing the island by boat trip, loads of hidden gems. We ate at zoi restaurant, the food and service was amazing. The local bakery served the best pastries and everyone we came across on the island was happy and helpful.
