Beautiful facility in a beautiful Greek mountain village. We had a fireplace and a balcony with an incredible view of the mountains and valleys. Excellent breakfast. Panagiotis, our host, went out of his way to make our stay memorable.

We had a fantastic stay at Mpelleiko. Our host Nena was the best we have ever had, and we are very well travelled.
We stayed at the property the beginning of October and the weather was perfect for hiking but the nights cool enough for a jacket. Nena met us in town so we could follow her to her property and show us where to park.
Our room had everything we could possibly want even a torch for walking down to the town to eat at night.
It is a wonderful property built in the 1600's and the garden outside is beautiful.
I had a head cold when we arrived so Nena made me a drink from her grandmother's recipe to help the symptoms.
Breakfast was amazing it was was home made from local produce and from her own garden. Bread was stone milled and home made it really was superb, the views from the breakfast room were stunning
We wanted to do a days hike from Stemnitsa to Dimitsana so Nena sat down with us and explained the route, advised us which way to go and said she would call a taxi for us when we got to Dimitsana and also gave us a map to use. Towards the end of the walk the signs disappeared so we called Nena and she talked us through till we got back on the trail.
Walking down into the town for dinner in the evening meant navigating quite a few stairs, it took less than 10 mins and we were happy to do that, but you could always drive instead and it would only take a few minutes.
Stemnitsa has limited restaurant options, we ate at the pub both evenings, the meals were tasty and enormous. Dimitsana has more eating options but we were pleased we stayed in Stemnitsa as it is small, quaint and beautiful, we really loved our stay at Mpelleiko with our wonderful host

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area but a short drive to another beautiful town with restaurants. ( We were there in low season so the local restaurants weren't open). The hosts were very lovely and the place was clean. I would definitely stay here again.

We visited in late April keen to walk the Lousios Gorge between Demitsana and Stemnitsa. We booked a B&B in Stemnitsa having visited the previous day. The walk was strenuous (good footwear, sticks could be helpful, take supplies) but knowing we were staying overnight in Stemnitsa B&B meant we had plenty of time. Beautiful flowers and bird life in the gorge as well as monasteries to visit. Lucky with weather, beautiful views and good clear pathway. The signposting for the walk is good. Ask directions at the Water Mill Museum as we added an additional hour taking the wrong direction.
Stemnitsa is welcoming to visitors. Cafe on the square was really friendly helpful and served great coffee. Helped order a taxi back to Demitsana the following morning. Enjoyed an evening meal in local restaurant with helpful staff and busy atmosphere. Lovely town centre to explore and as the season progresses more shops/restaurants will open.

This is a perfect location if you are hiking the Lousios Gorge. You can start the hike from the hotel. We enjoyed just heading down the hill and right in to town to start the hike..just 5 min walk to the beginning of the trail.

The host was helpful and friendly, the accommodations are an old house in a beautiful village, and have been adapted for guests, so the place is heavy on atmosphere. But the shower stall was smallest I have ever seen, and almost unusable, the room was for a couple, but with separate single beds that could not be pushed together, and getting bags from parking to room required long steep climb up stairs and stone path. Not easy.

Stemnitsa is a beautiful mountain town, smaller and less touristy than Dimitsana. Dining within town is limited, but there are some good tavernas within driving distance. We liked how quiet it was--no tour buses, just the unique architecture and views and good access to trails.

The location of this village allows you to approach a few beautiful treks in a relatively short car drive so you can spend two or three days enjoying nature but also the village itself without much strain.

We had a lovely large room with an actual bath, which was wonderful to soak in. The bed was quite comfortable, and we had fat fluffy pillows. We didn't see the owners at all after we checked in, so we didn't get to know them. The town of Stemnitsa is gorgeous. At this time, in late May, there were three or four coffee shops open and one taverna with limited offerings.
The friendliness of the owner. He did his best though he did not speak English. Provided a vegan-friendly breakfast and in general the accommodation was beautiful, spacious with a nice terrace. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of light. Stemnitsa is a fantastic place to relax and unwind and provides many hiking opportunities.
The two hosts Olga and Elona were always available to assist us in every kind of question. The feeling of the hotel was in a complete harmony with the surrounding area and the historic of Stemnitsa. The value for money ratio was more than satisfying. Good breakfast, extremely clean and comfortable rooms. And super pet friendly place
To stay at Gartagani was like staying with your favourite grandma! It's very calm and comfortable, Haris was very friendly and helful, we got homemade cookies and juice when we arrived.
The view is amazing, the room was clean and there was a generous breakfast, and there was convenient parking which is important in stemnitsa.
EVERYTHING! The room was comfortable and and cosy. Excellent location, close to Stemnitsa centre. Great base for local hiking routes. I can't say enough about the host Nena! Very accommodating and willing to help/provide advice.
