Truly wonderful location, which was a short walk from the Skala city center and relatively close to beach. The morning breakfasts at the Old Village were excellent. Also, the hotel was very clean and well maintained

We loved absolutely everything about this property. The place was absolutely stunning! Extremely well equipped with absolutely everything you will need. 1 minute walk to the stunning beach. The furniture was majestic and so original and everything was so clean and new appliances-we felt like royalty.
The host Roula and Nick - mother and son were absolute gems…anything we needed they were extremely accommodating.
They also own the beach bar Ammos which is a 5 min walk away.
I highly recommend this property to everyone.
We were 7 people and had 4 extremely comfortable bedrooms and 3 baths … loved loved loved our experience🧿🇬🇷🤍

The house and yard are located in a very quiet area, about 500m from the center. The yard is beautiful, the pool is great. The speed of the WiFi connection is very good, the accommodation has its own parking... And that's what's positive...

lots of choice of places to eat and good value. everyone very kind and polite and keen to welcome you. Favourite place to eat was Ammos - a beach bar in the day and excellent restaurant - charming family who run it and could not have made us feel more welcome and helped us with questions about where else to eat and to get a boat trip - we picked up a self-drive speed boat in Poros from Alexandros at Enalia and went up the coast for the day - the only way to see the incredible blue waters in the inacessible white beaches - you can have a driver if you are not confident to drive the boat yourself.

We’ve visited Skála many times and never tire of it.
We’ve visited Skála many times and never tire of it. It is one of the busier resorts on the island and so offers a great choice of tavernas. Despite being busy it is still very Greek and attracts a more mature crowd so not like tourist resorts on some larger Greek islands. It has a mainly pebble beach but is sandy once you are in the sea.

We loved Skala - it's the perfect low-key, family-friendly holiday destination. Lots of bars and restaurants serving traditional greek food that quietens down at night so not a clubby kind of place (happily for us).
The beach is gorgeous but pebbly so best to take jelly shoes. Crystal clear and perfect for snorkelling. Better still is Kaminia beach just up the coast which is sandy - and you might see a turtle as they hatch here! Tartarooga beach bar is lovely and has a shower and parasols (E20 for a parasol and 2 beds).

Beautiful village with friendly people.
Beautiful village with friendly people. The beach was a short walk from our hotel. The beach bar Metaxa was a lovely atmosphere where the sunbed man will take your drink/food order and bring it to you on your sunbed, or chill in the shade of the beach bar whilst enjoying the view of the crystal clear waters and neighbouring islands.
All the restaurants are lovely with excellent food choices.
We would definitely return to Skala for a relaxing holiday 🏝

A good range of facilities, including supermarkets, beach and souvenier shops, 2 bakeries, bars, ice cream parlours, cafes, restaurants and tavernas There is a wide range of restaurants serving a wide variety of food - ranging from family run places serving traditional Greek food like Kleftiko, Moussaka and Souvlaki, to international cuisine such as pasta and pizza. Of the traditional Greek dishes I can particularly recommend the Kontosouvli at Ta Pitharia and the Lamb Kleftiko at La Luna
For a more "upmarket" experience Sunrise Fish restaurant overlooking the beach is well worth seeking out. As well a more sophisticated ambiance and excellent seafood dishes, they have an interesting wine list, which included an excellent semi sparkling Retsina from Thessalonica, which I had never seen before
The beach is in front of the village and offer a good range of facilities whilst never seeming to get too crowded.

Very central and although there’s a gyros next door it was still quiet and private. The apartment is shaded so quite cool and everything works as new. There’s an explosion of cats in Kefalonia maybe due to Covid and neutering charities closing I don’t know but plenty cats around the area. I’d definitely stay again and the two sisters who manage it are there to assist and very helpful.
hotel facilities were great.
- Pool / bar area was lovely
- Breakfast buffet was also very good every day. The restaurant had also good quality and good price.
- Daily shuttle bus for Skala was very convienent , specially the evenings. If you want to explore the island you will need a car, though
Great value for money in the centre of Skala, the room was basic but very clean, had a sea view from the balcony, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the pool and the pool bar had a nice vibe. Parking was easy on the road outside the hotel. For the price we have no complaints.
The hotel is nice and in a perfect location close to everything, we loved coming back to our room after breakfast and finding the little towel animals.
