Everything was great , specially the stuff , only negative but normal I admit is that the water temperature in the outdoor pool sometimes was a bit cold when it was cloudy.

What a fantastic place. The staff were brilliant and really friendly. Room was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Breakfast was great with variety of products. We loved the pool,was marvelous with beautiful design. We definitely recommend it. And we are sure we will come back again. Thank you very much for everything 🙏🏻.

what a wonderful relaxing stay, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was varied and lovely. Crete is a beautiful place with lovely kindhearted locals . Since returning back to work after a really relaxing stay, when work starts turning up the pressure I close my eyes and sit in the morning sun staring out at the pool with a really flavourful cup of coffee, until I feel the calmness return that this wonderful place brought to my life and then I open my eyes and try not to get too disheartened. Thank you for such a lovely trip with memories that help me get through the dreary London weather.

Galeana Beach Hotel is very basic, but great as a cheap base. The rooms are very clean as is the pool and dining area. The buffet breakfast is really good too. The maids clean the rooms regularly. There are loads of good places to eat close by.

It is typical resort town, with lots of shops, grocery supermarket, taverns, also there is a good drugstore.
The downsides are very narrow sidewalks and crazy motorcyclists day and night, like everywhere in Greece.

Lots of tourist shops , car rentals and excursions available
The beaches are easily accessible and pool bars are plentiful and free to use if you buy drinks/food.
It’s a very friendly resort great for families as many places have child pools or playing areas
Everywhere is easily accessible on foot but there is a good regular bus service or car hire is easy to arrange

Lovely town and not changed too much over the years I have been visiting. Lots of restaurants, tour companies and souvenir shops. Good bus service into Rethymno.
Beach is a bit stony, so beach shoes were required. Plenty of water activities for the kids (and adults) on the beach

This was the second time my wife and I have been to Platanes. We went for the first time a few years ago and thought it was about time we went back. We enjoyed our visit then but this visit was even better. There is a variety of accommodation available from luxury 5 stars hotels to small apartments and a great variety in between. Many residences have pools but there are golden beaches within a short distance of the main strip and many have tavernas and bars.
The main strip has many places to eat and drink and prices are very reasonable. Crete has a great cultural heritage and there are plenty of trips which can be taken.
The weather was wall to wall sunshine

Breakfast was wonderful a good selection of hot and cold options. The breakfast staff and reception team were warm smd welcoming.
The poolside bar service for both drinks and food was a slow.
The pool roof terrace was beautiful overlooking the sea.
We loved the beach bar directly in front of the hotel for lunch. Great service here and family run. Its not part of the hotel but it certainly added to our stay.
Rooms kept clean. I would say the pool towels were rather small but we had our own so not a big issue.

The property was in a great location in the middle of Platanes with lots of bars and restaurants very close by. It was bright and spacious. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. There were many supermarkets close by that opened late and we found the prices were very low. The apartment was spotless and was cleaned very regularly with fresh towels and bed linen. The host Theodoro was super helpful and responded very quickly to anything we asked. The air conditioning was very effective and really needed as it was very hot when we were there!
The hosts are the kindest I have ever met in a hotel. All staff is friendly and tries to welcome you at the best standards possible. The room is very cleaned, beds are compy. I did not use the kitchen facilities but looks complete to me. The pool is smaller than I expected but still no problem. It is very close to the beach and there are several beach bars close . Thank you for hosting us, we enjoyed our stay and definitely recommended❤️
The staff at this hotel are the best ever! Always ready to help and super friendly! I'll be back there in no time! In the centre close to everything! The matress is 10/10! Loved it! Amazing staff! Very good location, few minutes walk to the beach and just a minute to the center o Platanes. Old fashioned apartment, fully equipped with all needed accessories. Room No. 8 with perfect position, sun only at late afternoon. Regular cleaning and change of towels, bed sheets. A/C usage is extra 5 EUR per day.
