Nice small island full of history

Nice small island full of history No sand beaches but there are places equally good places to spend tje day swiming and including with free sunbeds Several places where to have memorable dinners in the evening both traditional greek style or more "tourists adapeted" ones Nica walking possible in the morning or toward the susnset at Paleokastro (Highly recommended) or the ST.George Monastry via the 500 steps two small supermarkets are avaialble so you can cook at home if you wish Short boat ridea are also available, we did the blue cave and island circle Turkey is very close (Kas is the main city there). We went with the ferry but unfirtnuatly procedures are quite ling for check in-out operations on bith ways. Anyway we did it, and we've spend about 4 hours that is fully enough ti see the main old town area and to have some food and drink there

Beautiful small island for people who like a quiet and tranquil place. There are plenty of steps and uneven areas so not so good for people who cannot walk well. We have walked up the famous steps and aound the island. Good to take drink and a picnic if you go. The Blue cave trip is a must. Plenty of nice restarants and bars along the harbour front and sitting and watching the Turtles is magical and very romantic.

Kastellorizo is a gem of an island.

Kastellorizo is a gem of an island. On the way to nowhere, everyone there has come specifically. This place is tiny, spectacularly beautiful, crazy and fun. This is a place to relax - there isn't much to do except soak in the tranquility, atmosphere and fantastic seafood.

A very beautiful place to visit.

A very beautiful place to visit. If you are seeking luxury and noisy vacations or a short noisy getaway it is not the place for you. There are a number of options of good restaurants and places to eat or have a drink or both (Lazarakis and Alexandra restaurants and Stratos for brekakfast, coffee, drink and light food). Friendly people, which is also very important. You are basically looking at a relatively small picturesque village with great views from every single corner. The island is small and you can walk from the one end to the other in a full circle (so to speak) in about 2 hours. No need of a car. There are no beaches in the form we all know them, but you can swim with the best place to go to by a sea Taxi is St. George's island, just outside the main port. Crystal clear turquoise waters. It takes 2-3 minutes by boat and the people can take you there and pick you up whenever you want. A visit at the Blue Cave is a must and you should look for George Karagiannis to take you there and everywhere else you want to go by boat. He is just the best. Climb the rock above the village to St. George of the mountain (Ai Giorgis tou vounou) for magnificent views of the main port and village. it only 600 steps (about!) and it will take you about 20-30 minutes to walk up depending on your fitness, but it worth every step! From St. George's church on the mountain you can continue walking to Palaiokastro (about 8 kilometers of easy cement and asphalt road towards the airport) to enjoy the magnificent sunset.

It's a small island with excellent people.

It's a small island with excellent people. Wonderful multi colored houses all around the gulf where port is located. There are no sandy beaches but only a small island named Agios Giorgis where you reach by boat and where can enjoy swimming in Crystal clear water and is very much interesting to visit the Blue Cave by boat. Excellent sea food and very tasty local food being served in all taverns around the port seaside. The island is offered for easy quiet restful vacation. You need a book and partner to feel like in paradise.

Without doubts, one of the best places in the Dodecanese for the lover of sun, sea, nature and tranquillity. Unique location just a short walk away from the relatively busy center of Kastelloritzo. Location is all, dedicated platform for access to sea is almost unique, the room are all real suites with every single piece of equipment working as it should. Terraces, balconies, window and reading recesses all with view of 1960 Mediterranean sea.Making the stay special is the kindness, competence and attentiveness of your hosts. Living on the premises, respected members of the island's comunity and ready to make your stay a memory. And I did not mention the simple-gourmet breakfast...
