We booked for my father's 80th birthday and as they live in Athens it was a good location as was near and the facilities at the resort where perfect for him to not have to travel much. We were extremely happy with every aspect of the hotel especially the staff (Fotini was incredible and accommodating) the beach, the accomodation and the food where fantastic for the price and we had a great stay. Great location. Within easy walk to port and nice walk to lighthouse and ruins on other side of port. A great size room, nice and clean. Nikos the owner was fantastic. Lots of tips for things to do, places to see and eat. Very helpful and quick to respond to messages. Lots of water and snacks provided as well. Internet worked well also. A pleasure to stay here.

Melissaki is an area on Kea island that has a few nice hotels and some really beautiful beaches. The road leading to Melissaki from the port and going around the area is a dirt road, however, which can get really bumpy for a typical vehicle and awfully tiring for a visitor who is trying to enjoy their vacation time there. Hence, it is an area to visit and not to stay at.
