It’s a lovely little island with lots of nice restaurants and bars available during the season. You can only get there by boat so be prepared to get on the car ferry or hire a sea taxi. It’s quite humid and as the season goes on, the mosquitoes are out in force! The beaches are stunning - as is the scenery. Well worth a visit!

The island is really pretty with some lovely beaches & great restaurants & cafes. The local people are pleasant & welcoming. Great place to relax.
The island is let down by its transport links. We were staying in Vathi & the ferry no longer goes to Vathi. There is no bus timetable on line (not released yet for 2019 - & it’s September!). We travelled on Sunday & didn’t know the bus doesn’t operate on Sunday. It was also generally inconsistent & unreliable (we think, but can’t be sure cos no timetable!). There is also only one taxi on the island.

Small island with charm.
Small island with charm. Only two organised beaches, no buses, 2 taxis on the island which are ridiculously expensive, one petrol station, lots of yachty types in Vathy which is busy on Mondays. Ideal place if you're an extra in Cocoon or The Marigold Hotel!

Meganisi is a little paradise for those looking for a peaceful island away from the main tourist areas. People are friendly, food is great, and there are some secluded and not crowded beaches. It is also fantastic for running.
The view from the restaurant is trully stunning. Hotel staff were very helpful and assited us making the most out of the day we spent at the island.
The rooms are brand new, with spectacular view to the bay below. Great attention to detail.
The food was excelent. This type of restaurant was missing from the island as the other options are all more traditional taverna style.
We had a treatment at the spa which left us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
We had an amazing stay.
