GK Airport Suites - Free Shuttle, hotel in Markopoulo

Set in Markopoulo, 12 km from Metropolitan Expo, GK Airport Suites - Free Shuttle offers accommodation with a terrace, free WiFi, free shuttle service, and a lift.

The property was nice. The room was large. It was close to the airport which was why we used this hotel. The staff/owner was great with the communication. We were on a cruise before with limited email and text and they used several different methods to communicate with the best one “WhatsApp”. The communication was very important because it’s more of a self service situation. Key placed in a lockbox with a code and instructions in an email. It worked fine for us and our friends. Three rooms all together between us. The property is within a block or two of a couple of good restaurants and small convenience stores.

Boutique Athensairport Apartments, hotel in Markopoulo

Located within 11 km of Metropolitan Expo and 14 km of Vorres Museum in Markopoulo, Boutique Athensairport Apartments provides accommodation with seating area.

Great studio appartement! Very well equipped! Staff quickly responding to any question. All in all a very pleasant experience. It is very close to the airport, very convenient. Just notice that if you check in on Saturday, the studio is located right next to the church so you’ll be hearing bells every hour from six in the morning on Sunday. The whole town can hear them. 😂 That didn’t stop us to enjoy our time there though and I bet if we had chosen to stay even closer to the airport we would have heard planes, so I prefer bells.

The apartment was sparking clean, comfortable and spacious, in a quiet area with restaurants close by. The host Suzanna was thoughtful and kind. Breakfast items were provided. We were arriving late and Suzana was very flexible and helpful. There was a reasonable airport pickup service so no need to a taxi. I will definitely use the apartment again. Thank you Suzana for going out of your way to make our stay so pleasant and comfortable.

I liked the shuttle service and proximity to the grocery store. I disliked the unkempt condition of the beds, the unclean sinks in both kitchen and bathroom area. The management offered an alternate room to stay the first night while they sent the cleaning lady to clean the scheduled room for the following day. When we got back into the initial room we recognized that the bed linens were changed and the sinks were cleaned. However, there were bowls missing as well.

Great shuttle to the property and back to the airport the next day. Great little town where we could walk just down the street for breakfast. Felt very safe and loved the local neighborhood and the locals. Perfect.

Markopoulo was very pleasant and not congested like Athens. I was not sure about staying there. I had stayed in Athens many times before. Now I will always stay in Markopoulo and drive into Athens when needed.

There's not a lot happening in this little town, but it was pleasant enough for a one-night stay. I did find a little out-of-the way restaurant that was good, unfortunately not going to remember the name. It's about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, heading toward the center of town, on the right. Good luck! :)

It was very dated, in poor condition and smelled like an ashtray or club/bar the next morning. No balcony, no views, no ensuite. We believe we were NOT given the apartment we booked. We stayed here as we had an early flight the following morning. Markopoulo is very dirty, very rundown in appearance and doesn't feel safe at all. No nearby supermarket or cafes or restaurants to get food. We left after 2 hours. The taxi driver said the area is "rough" and has had many complaints from tourists over the years. The nearby suburb of Spata is where we went and it was very convenient, safe, many restaurants & cafes & supermarkets for those on a budget.
