Katoikia Milos Slow Living Homes, hotel in Mandrakia

Located in Mandrakia in the Cyclades region, with Mandrakia Beach and Gerania Beach nearby, Katoikia Milos Slow Living Homes provides accommodation with free private parking.

Pefect location accessible to all the best bits if the island. Mandrakia is a short walk down the road (Medusa is the family run taverna there) and Sarakiniko a longer walk from behind Mandrakia cocktail bar (say hi to Lazerous). A car makes everything easier as taxis are expensive. Adamas port is 10 mins by car with a supermarket en route. Plaka is a similar distance with pretty streets and boutique shops. Lovely food basket and thoughtful items were in the fridge on arrival. We used the food basket as a picnic basket when we were out! Constant communication with hosts on recommendations. They were so generous - Nicos brought us freshly baked cheese pies one day! Amazing attention to detail on the interiors and a glorious view to the sea from the bed. The balcony and covered veranda were worth paying a little more for.

Santa Maria Village Resort & Spa, hotel in Mandrakia

Situated in Adamas, just 350 metres from a sandy beach, Santa Maria Village Resort & Spa features a pool with hydromassage jets, and a poolside bar serving cocktails with views over the Aegean Sea.

Although we only had a short stay in Milos, it was made that much better by this accomodation. From the shuttle to the accomodation to the amazing reception staff it was a great experience. The views by the pool and the central location of the accomodation was wonderful! We had to check out early on one of the days so were unable to have breakfast and the amazing team packed us a takeaway bag of sandwiches, muffins, and fruits so that we would have something to eat! What an amazing stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Milos Inn. It was the perfect location, great size rooms and super clean. But mostly importantly, the hosts were extremely friendly and so helpful. I couldn’t recommend this accommodation more. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

The location is good. The Thalassitra Private Pool Suites themselves are very nicely designed with a lovely courtyard for breakfast. The suite we had was double storey with a small pool. Breakfast was simple but pleasant.

Area is very remote, stay here if you like seclusion and peace and quiet. Close to Sarakinikos which is great but I think there are nicer places in Milos to stay. Pollonia is my recommendation. Plaka is nice but extremely hilly, but has taverns, nightlife, restaurants and shopping and more life. Adamantas is limited and very touristy, it is a port afterall and lacks atmosphere and the island feel. Mandrakia is just next to where we stayed which is also really worth seeing and staying, very pretty and great island feel and swimming areas.

Mandrakia is a small fishing village in the northwest of Milos. VERY small with no shops; a wonderful restaurant and a coffee/snack canteen are the only businesses in the village. It did not matter one iota as the natural beauty of the area was enough. If you are looking for anything other peace and quiet, serenity, and never-ending beauty, do not go. Otherwise, like us, you will never want to leave. You MUST have a car here. It is close to so many other Milos attractions but it always felt like coming home whenever we returned.

I can't say enough good things about this boat house.

I can't say enough good things about this boat house. It was remote and would be perfect for couples. It was tucked away in the cove, rarely had visitors to the area (we stayed late August) except anyone that braved the road to the beach. Road was gravel/sand and crazy bumpy. The house had very basic supplies - cooking is not really an option but with all the amazing restaurants nearby - who wants to cook. I literally crashed on the patio chairs the first night and listened to the waves which were 5 ft from the porch. Sunsets were amazing and completely unimpeded by tourists or buildings. It was us and nature at its finest. Katerina was very helpful with any needs/questions we had. I came with my son but next time I am bringing my husband and we are stayinng for a week!

This was the worst hotel stay of my life.

This was the worst hotel stay of my life. There was no running water or functioning wifi. The wifi only worked in 1 corner of the room, and we constantly had to contact the host to fix the water. When he fixed it, it would stop after 5 minutes and there was no hot water. We could barely shower, couldn't flush the toilet or use the sink. They must have come 8-10 times to fix the water. It really made our stay in Milos terrible. We demanded compensation for the stay and they blamed the water problem on the ocean breaking the electricity and the wifi on the windiness. They said no other guests had this problem but it can't be true.
