Vikentios Rooms are located at the southern and central part of the island which is very convenient as you can easily reach the central route that connects almost every part of the island within 15-20 minutes by car.
The room was cozy and comfortable having a wonderful garden with flowers around it.
The staff was very warm and helpful. They offered us jam and a bottle of wine from their own farm when we arrived.
Very well equipped having everything that we needed.
Definitely we will come again!

Great little island in the south of the Peloponnese...
Great little island in the south of the Peloponnese peninsula, reachable by ferry from the mainland, or by plane from Athens. Nice beaches, great inland landscape for walking, trekking or biking. Road system needs a serious upgrading, but people are nice and welcoming, and the food is excellent. Many Athenians and foreigners buy old houses and convert them into apartments for rent so the little hospitality infrastructure currently available will be soon getting bigger and hopefully better. Great places to visit Mylopotamos, a village famous for its water mills, just a couple left still to see, or Avlemonas for the little, almost magical cove, for easy swimming. One also has to visit the Chora with the Castle ( Kastro) of the island but this also is in dire need for renovation as at this moment is almost dangerous for visitors in parts. Food is great and many places offer fresh fish along with local meat, making it a easy choice for both fish and meat lovers. Nice honey (almost famously known) that one can buy and take back home to remind them of this beautiful island.

Kythira is a place not yet overcrowded with tourists, a place with wonderful beaches but rough highlands too. You will find hidden churches, nice restaurants and: friendly people everywhere. And if you are searching for flowers or birds it is the right place too.

The scattered monuments of the island's built heritage were fascinating. But sad that many of them had been allowed to fall into decay. The beaches though few, were good, with a choice of sand or pebble in the same stretch as at Kapsali.
The restaurants, also few, were mainly excellent, with hospitality not only from the proprietors but the locals using them. The roads, well engineered by the British in the early 19th century and pretty well unchanged (apart from the surfacing of course) were perfect for the low traffic conditions. Scenery magnificent.

Kithira is a very interesting island.
Kithira is a very interesting island. Fairly isolated so you don't get that typical tourist feel. The people are amazing, welcoming, respectful. The island has a good network of roads and fairly well marked signs. We found the driving to be very challenging compared to other places in Greece. In fact I would say dangerous. The nature is beautiful and the views of the sea coming down the mountains is incredible. Accessing most beaches is challenging and after driving to some of them, they are very remote and the roads should not be driveable in the horrible state they are in.
St.John of the cave and Panagia Myrtidiotissa are must sees. Please be respectful with proper attire. There were half naked tourists in this holy place, despite signs indicating that you must be covered.
Kithira will give you a more traditional feel of Greece if that's what you're looking for.

This island is a quiet, traditional island with a vibrant local population living their lives whilst welcoming visiting tourists. It has great beaches and some interesting 'off the beaten track' places to see.
The room exceeded our expectations by far. It was very spacious and clean and included a lot of amenities that we didn't initially expect. This made our stay very pleasant and we always felt at home. We stayed in the room on the first floor which was obviously recently renovated. The rooms are in a very quiet location in a remote village. Ximena, the host, was extremely helpful and contacted us even before our arrival to make sure that everything was ok. A highly recommended place to stay if you're visiting Kythira
Beautiful location in an olive garden; a great place to relax and enjoy silence and beautiful scenery. The village is at 5 minutes drive to capital Chora and Kapsali Bay and at about 30 minutes drive to Ferry and Airport. The host is really kind and helpful and speaks english very well, which is a great plus. The studios have a good size, are well equipped and spotless clean. It was a great place to explore Kythira and relax at the same time.
The hospitality from the guests was absolutely stunning. The hotel balanced a good standards on quality-price. We came over on early June and price was great. It's very local a isolated but with car you can get easily reach any part of the island as location is right on the middle. Overall, great stay if you are not looking for fancy hotels.
Excellent location right in the heart of the Chora of Kythira with amazing views, combined with an exceptionally well-maintained traditional house with unique decoration and design, as well as the friendliest, kindest and most helpful members of staff. We would definitely love to visit again!
The location was unique and the sea-view of Kapsali and of the Kythira Castle was breathtaking.
Chora of Kythira is only 5' away by foot. The Parking wasn't a problem the period of my visit but I'm sure that in July and August it could be once there is no parking area around the property.
We had a perfect stay at Villa Spilies. The location is stunning, views are magnificent, house is spacious, and Kythira is the most beautiful island I have ever been to. We enjoyed superb meals, visited gorgeous villages and swam in warm seas.
Cannot recommend it enough.
Great location next to one of the best beaches in Kythira. The house is as advertised if you read the description carefully as it is remote and not close to any shops or restaurants. All the necessary extras are provided.
Balcony had a lovely view of the town. Hotel location was close to many excellent shops, bars, restaurants, and activities (beaches, museum, historical site etc.). Host was kind and easy to communicate with.
Comfortable nice and isolated villa near the best beach in Kythira. There is everything you need for a long stay.. The view from the terrace is marvellers. The communication with the host was very good.
