Everything was perfect, daily cleaning, staff was extremely friendly and kind and warm, they would greet you with a smile every time and offer advice regarding places to see or go for dinner. In the lobby you will also find the hotel cat, a lovely black cat, waiting for some scratches and supervising everything. Even though we were in October and the nights were a little cold, the room temperature was warm. They have free umbrellas and beach towels for guests to use. They also have free laundry service. I highly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic, friendly staff that made sure we were well looked after! The apartment was huge and very clean.
It had everything needed.
The pool was great for the kids and We arranged for a massage the day we checked out while they swam (well worth it!).

The apartment was big and comfy for our needs, house cleaning was amazing and performed everyday to the highest standard. We had all the amenities for a pleasant stay ( cutlery, plates, paper towels etc). A surprise was also the view from the balcony since the location is not that close to the waterfront. Breakfast was good and had a good variety. There was a big parking lot and also street parking which made our stay more relaxing. Very good proximity to the port where you can go in day trips and also to the most impressive beaches in the western part of Crete.

Kissamos itself as a town is nothing special but it has some seafront tavernas and its location makes it a good base to explore the local area - in particular to take a boat trip around to Balos bay and lagoon which is highly recommended, including a stop at Gramvousa island to walk up to the castle. It's also a short drive over the hill to Falasarna bay for a closer nice beach option with sunbeds. Kissamos beach is rather scraggy looking compared to other more scenic options locally!

Kissamos is not really a tourist town - yet, but has all that you need for self-catering and a reasonable selection of tavernas and cafes. It is ideal as touring base. A car is pretty much essential though there are buses.
Near the Hermes hotel there is a lovely sandy beach plus useful tavernas and cafes. Safe water in the small bay makes it good for children.

The immediate area to Captains Beach is quiet and unspoilt. Perfectly located to a quiet beach perfect for swimming. Also a good location for getting the boat to Gramvousa and Balos which we did.For more action and places to eat Kissamoss is approx 5k away.

Kissamos is the right place to stay so to visit Mpalos,...
Kissamos is the right place to stay so to visit Mpalos, Falasrna and Elafonisi (40 minutes drive). Mavros Molos beach on Kissamos is also top! Pleanty of beaches to visit in the area, depending on the wind!
Food is amazing and the city has all you need foe a long stay!

Crete is a big Island.
Crete is a big Island. We decided for a relax holiday so we didn't go to eraklion to see the Knosso Micean Museum, but ne day we went to Xania/Cania and it's a very nice town with a millenial history with very interssant museum. There is also a small museum in Kissamos with nice big mosaic coming form a roman villa. Near Kissamos there is also the archeological site of Falisarna d Polyrennia 2 important cities thet were destroyed form and earthquake in 325AC.
For a relax point of view we went twice to Balos lagoon once by car, once by boat, both are worthy.
In case of Meltemi wind it's preferrable to go to Elafonissi beach or Flaisarna whiche are better protected.

Very happy with our stay at Mpoulakis Apartment. The house was very spacious and had all amenities. The location was great, close to the beach (with plenty of bars and restaurants), supermarket and coffeeshops and centre of Kissamos easily reachable on a 5/10 minutes walk.
Kyriakos is an excellent host. He definitely made our stay in Crete memorable with his many tips and recommendations on events, places to visit and restaurants to enjoy proper local cuisine.
A great family-owned hotel, freshly renovated, located next to the best beach in Kissamos, Molos Beach. Has all the amenities one would wish for, from a nice pool, a great beach bar, and sunbeds to clean and spacious rooms with balconies. The owners and staff are always helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend - we've been coming here three times already and were never disappointed.

Super friendy staff, nice pool, nice beach with free sunbeads...fantastic location. Wish tha Kissamos would be more vibrant at night, but that has nothing to do with the hotel itself.
The hotel was in a strategic site so we able to reach some of the most beatiful beaches in Crete. The room had very minimal style but the bed was comfortable. It was clean.
We also had a small terrace looking at the street.
