Fabulous view from the balcony. Room very spacious. We had previously a credit card problem, with Booking.com threatening to cancel but the hotel receptionist reassured me that they wouldn't cancel when I phoned direct.
Right on the seafront of Agios Andreas in Katakolo, PHEIA, Vriniotis Resorts features a terrace restaurant that serves fresh fish and local delicacies.

Everything :)
I stayed in the "non-deluxe" sea view room and it was above my expectations. The lobby and renovated half of the hotel are absolutely a gem, with clean, efficient design and modern amenities that merge luxury and comfort. Breakfast is abundant, the cafe' is always open, the restaurant is a great value for more traditional Greek dishes, the pool was one of my favourite things on this entire trip through Greece, the bed is extremely comfortable, the AC is super quiet, and staff is kinda + helpful. The owner, Georgios, is there to greet you and is dedicated to make sure that everything is perfect at all times; genuine hospitality.
Resort is located in a nice cove with both sand and rocks; you can walk around it and swim out to a little island. There are also castle ruins on the hill behind, which is an easy walk (that can be extended to the volcanic terrains and olive groves towards Katakolo).
Ended up staying for 3 nights and it was the first time I enjoyed the hotel so much that I literally didn't leave its grounds. Can't wait to go back :)
Offering a terrace and views of the sea, Althea Apartments is located in Katakolo nestled in a lush hill, featuring views of the sea and the local port.

Katakolon is the main port for cruise liners where guests are visiting Olympia and seems geared up largely for this purpose. It is quite a pleasant seaside town but nothing exceptional. When we were there there were no cruise ships in port and it was very quiet. All of the seafront restaurants and bars were open so we had our pick, but a lot of the shops were close for most of the time we were there.
Olympia is about a 30 minute drive from here.

Small city with port for big ship.
Small city with port for big ship. Worth visiting for few days. Close to nice beaches. Shops with beautiful clothes and other things (mostly not cheap, but you can find good deals). Good starting point to Olympia.

The town felt strange to us as it appears to only be set up for cruise ship customers. We did have a great lunch there ( Filia ) the first day but found once the cruise ship left almost everything closed in the town. The second day there was a significant storm and everything remained closed for the day as cruise ship customers did not disembark. There was only one restaurant open for lunch and it was a mediocre very overpriced meal.

We stayed there rather than at Olympia to be near the beach.
We stayed there rather than at Olympia to be near the beach. We did go to the beach and the water was amazing. But the beach itself was full of tire tracks.
The village receives huge cruise ships bound for Olympia and it is one strip of souvenir shops swamped with tourists.
I think we would have been better at Olympia.
The hotel has one of the most beautiful views over the ocean, having breakfast on the terras with this view makes it even better than it already is. Just a 5-minute drive is Katakolo a nice small, quiet (when the cruise ship of the day has gone) harbor with lots of fantastic restaurants and bars. Visiting Olympia is perfectly doable from here (30min drive) and absolutely worth it.
The room was clean and had everything we expected and needed. The staff is very friendly and helpful at all times!
Katakolon was a port on our Viking Cruise. We booked a room here at PHEIA instead of going on an expensive cruise excursion. It was so worth it. The hotel is so stylish and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Great pool. Nice bar. Steps to the beach and the sea. There are beach bars to the left and right as well. It was like being at a beach resort for the day. Everything was very reasonable. It's just a short cab ride from the cruise port. Everyone on the cruise was jealous of our plan.
Location, while a bit isolated, the beach was just across the empty lot (of the property). It was deserted in early May, beautiful and wide and sandy. The main room was beautiful, everything you could need, clean, cosy and comfortable. So pretty. Perfect for two people. Only about 20-25 minutes from Ancient Olympia - so close we could go twice. We drove to Katakolo harbor to eat at the Filia and Mouragio restaurant (also called F.ilia), fantastic food and ambiance.
It’s hard to call this a hotel. It’s more like a lovely guest house; a place where you could easily escape to write a book, to think about things or just to relax. The two ladies who run the place were both fantastic and very caring people. If you are considering staying here, don’t hesitate, it is a great place to stay.
Convenient and just a few mins walk to the center of the village. The hotel is on the older side and can understand the previous reviews. My stay was one night and was just fine for me, and the price. The family owned/friendliness of the staff and the charm of the hotel out weighs the age of the hotel.
An exceptional stay. The family-run hotel is fresh, with spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the sea. The wood, tile and stone decor was soothing. Good breakfast (included). Plenty of hot water and good AC (needed in August!). The accomodations were niceer than expected - well done!
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Georgina. We stayed 2 days to visit Olympia and Katakolo.
Rooms are charming and very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool was well appreciated by our kids.
The owner is really kind and helpfull.
The home made breakfast is very good
Wonderful breakfast with homemade sourdough and sourdough chocolate cake.
We stayed in the Attic room. Owner was friendly. It is a port town and thankfully we were there when the cruise ships were not at port. The hotel is centrally located. can walk to the harbor and harbor cafes.
Spacious room, a terrace in front, gorgeous sea view, fully equipped kitchenette (you can cook), good breakfast in a modern dining room, friendly staff, absolutely clean. The property is 15min by foot from Katakolon quay area with restaurants, bars and shops.
Liked almost everything about this hotel. It's in an extremely quiet location above town, has commanding views of the sea visible from either side of the hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room spacious, modern, and well equipped.

The hotel should be rated 4 stars easily. The room was huge and very well
equipped, I would say superb. A real porch looking on the olive plantation.
Great place with very efficient staff.
The treatment from the sisters that manage the business was fantastic. They were really nice and helpful. The room was stunning at the level of a 5 star hotel. Thanks for everything
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms offer a fantastic view of the port and are very large and clean. The breakfast was really nice and the staff extremely friendly.
This hotel is simply OLD, OLD, OLD period. It needs to be modernized! It has NOT changed with the times! It was probably good in the 1960's but not in the year 2021.
