Fairly quiet and laid back village within around 20 minutes walk of Fira. Bus took around 10 minutes into Fira cost was 4 euros.
Lots of lovely places to eat in the village, we preferred this to going into Fira as it was so bust there.

Karterados is not as touristy or expensive as Fira and Oia.
Karterados is not as touristy or expensive as Fira and Oia. It is nice to mix with the locals. However you can walk to Fira with a view of the Caldera in 10-20 mins. FThere are some good restaurants, notably Katerinas for authentic Greek dishes, and Tabasco for delicious pizzas.

Karterados has the great advantage of having everything you need around without the noise of Fira, and yet just a 15-minute walk away from it. Strategic location for your stay in Santorini. There is a good restaurant on the expensive side, and an exceptional meze place. Close to bus stop. Suggested.

Location makes a car almost necessary, because it is a long walk to Fira and the bus station. However once you get to Fira, and there is a regular bus, you can travel extensively by bus. Accomodation here is cheaper as the location is not ideal for a holiday.

Simply delightful!
Simply delightful! Irene and staff are very kind, attentive and competent. The room, the garden, the breakfast, the service, all is perfect. I will return and recommend. Feel at home. Simple but good restaurants nearby, good price. Mini markets, cafeteria etc. Tour in the Santorini is highly recommended also, nice places to visit, and return by yourself. Akrotiri is special.

The most amazing hostel I’ve ever stayed at!
The most amazing hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The location is gorgeous and at a good walking distance from Fira or the bus stop. The staff are all lovely and very welcoming and the breakfast is great too. There are weekly activities such as dinners and movie nights as well. Would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back in the future.

Fantastic find....to have such a beautiful, clean, friendly small hotel with great facilities in a very good location was amazing. All the staff were extremely welcoming and sorted out a room issue for me in an exceptional way. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was as good as it could be. I was very appreciative of their efforts, and I would not stay anywhere else on Santorini. I intend to return to experience their hospitality again. I cannot speak highly enough of Pension George.
Artemi and Anna who run the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was very close to the airport. Since our taxi back to the airport at 5.30am cancelled last minute, Artemis came himself to drop us at the airport. Santorini is a very small island with all of the beaches and popular locations like Fira and Oia within 15-25 minutes maximum travel time by car from the hotel.
The hotel was amazing, great facilities. We especially appreciated Tamta who worked there, she and the other staff members really helped us- booking restaurant, taxis, vehicle... this made our time in Santorini amazing. The room was very nice and clean. The pool amazing. Good location. Thank you Tamta !!!
This property is lovely, the staff con not do enough for you, taxis always at the ready to take you around Santorini.
Hotel is not too big so nice getting more of a personal touch.
