Yiannis was amazing! He welcomed us into his home with open arms. I booked a room while my two friends parked their van on the lawn. Kakovatos is a charming small village that sits right on a great sandy beach with crystal clear waters. It is tucked away from touristy areas and offers family-oriented vacation experience. Local taverns are the best and offer traditional Greek dishes and fresh fish daily. Neda falls are a one-hour drive and are worth the hike, and ancient Olympia is only 20-30 minutes away by car.
