The couple that owns the property are super helpful and sweet and welcomed us and supported us with our 2 kids. Gave us instructions and even helped us when our kid had a small accident and I had a back pain. Also a whole beach only for us so definitely going back at the first opportunity!!

Very good, spacious and clean accommodation (very regularly serviced) with very good view to the sea/bay and surrounded by a beautiful and well maintained garden.
Nikos is an excellent and informative host.
Also, we found that the restaurant just below the accommodation served superb food and provided excellent service.

From the first moment of reception by Mrs. Glyka to the moment of our departure after a week our stay was excellent. The location of the complex which if it wasn't for the interest to explore the island we would have been all day on the superb balcony with the wonderful sea view and the beautiful room. The hospitality has a name and it's Mrs. Glyka, she is always smiling and willing to serve you, with touches of personal choice in amenities beyond the familiar ones you find in other similar rooms, such as tiles with local sweets and many more.
The location is excellent for easy access, close to beautiful Batchi and superb beaches. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to remember that in Andros there is a place to stay that will become a superb memory along with the other beautiful icons you will take away from the natural beauty of the island.

This destination is delightful, offering a wide array of culinary options. The local cheeses are exceptional, and you'll discover restaurants that cater to both casual diners and those seeking a more upscale experience. The ambiance is tranquil, making it an ideal retreat. Renting a car is advisable to fully explore the island’s beauty. While September may be slightly cooler, it also offers a more serene atmosphere.

Gavrion (Gavrio) is a main ferry port in Andros, but it is not too busy to compare with other Greek ports. It has a charming laid back atmosphere although sometimes (when the ferry comes) might seem busy and chaotic and when there is no ferry - a bit boring. It has everything what an undemanding tourist might need - 2 bakeries, 1 big and 2 or 3 small supermarkets, few tavernas, 2 car rentals. It is a good choice for the base if you want to travel around the island and you have a car. It doesn't have a big beach, but it is free from the hustle of Batsi.

I like Gavrio because it peaceful and still near the port.
I like Gavrio because it peaceful and still near the port. There is enough shops and restaurant and beaches near. But for better experiences you need a car or moto. Andros is very big island with different things to see. Its not only about beaches there are nice villages too and interesting old town and even waterfalls in the mountain. Also for walkers lot of good signed paths.

Not busy, but with enough to do when you don't feel like going anywhere else. The port is there which makes arrival and departure days stress-free, and also 5 minutes drive from the best beaches on the island.

I went with my boyfriend of a week and our stay at Gavrion was incredible. The locals are very friendly and the food delicious. The food may be expensive in some restaurants, you need to know where to search. The locals there helped us a lot Finding the best restaurant for price and quality of food, which was "Pame Vaggeli".
Everything in Gavrion is near to each other, which means you can explore the region on foot. However, if you don't own a car, the ticket for the local bus is 5€ per person to explore the whole island and the city of Andros. Also the souvenirs in the city are expensive so I advice to shop in Gavrion where they are cheaper.

Pleasant little harbour village where all the ferries come in. Good selection of tavernas, cafes and shops. The village beach itself is nothing great, but there is a choice of excellent sandy beaches within a 20 - 30 minute walk. Buses to Batsi and Andros Town - the largest towns on the island - leave from beside the ferry quay at times tied into ferry arrivals and departures. I stayed in Gavrion for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. It's fairly quiet but the people are friendly and it's convenient for onward travel.

We had a wonderful time at Cavo Lacia. Our maisonette was beautiful, it even had air conditioning, and a beautiful view on the sea. The property is near two beautiful beaches, a supermarket, a bakery and a pizza restaurant, and it is also close to Gavrio. I would defeinitely reccomend it. Thank you Alexandros!
The location of the port and most necessities (i.e., petrol station, supermarket, restaurants) are within walking distance. There is also parking on-site in the hotel/apartment premises. There is an on-site pool and a small bar as well as beach chairs and other amenities (such as shower and WC facilities).
Despite ad hoc booking, the house was in perfect condition. Very efficient and pleasent contact and organisation with Hostandros representatives. Calm location with excellent view, short distance to nearby Gavrio infrastructure.
alasthas personally is the best reference for Andros. the owner and his wife are amazingly polite, services are like 5 stars hotel( better) and the place is f*** amazing for a couple
