Great holiday resort. Good food. Perfect service in dining area. Restaurant staff immediately cleaning table after previous guests finish meal. Completely clean tableware is arranged. Any time of day you will find enough sun beds on the beach. Mostly French tourists. All animation programs are in French which is very funny for English speakers.
Situated by the sea and only 700 metres from the centre of Eretria, Avantis Suites Hotel offers studios and suites with views of South Evoikos Gulf. Free WiFi is offered in all areas.

A village with a small port and a main street with a few gift shops and restaurants. Food not really great and not fresh. We tried calamary and it was super gummy. Nothing to do, beach is a muddy strip with tons of trash on it. Not much a of night life and only retired older people here.

We were told by friends not to go to Eretria, that the beaches were not very nice- with alot of seaweed and rocks. We did not listen to them and were very pleasantly surprised by the nice sandy-bottomed sea waters. Sure there are some beaches with seaweed and rocks, but we found very nice beaches that were walking distance from our hotel/apartment. We stayed in the most convenient location at the Sun Rise Hotel Apartments and everything was within a 5 to 7 minute walk- ie. the beach and pedestrian walk-way where all the tavernas and restaurants are located. We had very nice pizza, pasta and crepes at the "Hot Chili Crepes" and very nice souvlakia and stake at "Anti Peina". We will definitely be back and explore the area more!

If you search for a quiet place, with no crowded driving and parking problems, on an island with all kind of landscape, 1 hour far away from Athens airport, Eretria can be a solution. Especially good for families with children. On other side, the sandy beaches are scarse but you can go at hotels beaches in the area. From Eritrea it is easy to visit all the island, the second one of Greece.

Everything worked. The beach was lovely and not far away from any of the rooms. You could always find a chair by the sea or the pool. Everything was stress free. Didn’t have to drive far to get there. The ferry from Eretria port made things even easier. Breakfast was also very good. Best thing would have to be the view from the sea view rooms.
The hotel is as I expected. Very clean and stylish. The food was varied. The pool is exceptional and very suitable for children. The beach was not so close and I dont like that there's no food on the beach.
-The cleanliness
-The pool - added value if you have children
-The presence of a lifeguard in the pool
-The size of the apartment
-The proximity to the beach of Eretria
