The location is absolutely fantastic - beautiful private sandy beach, two big swimming pools that we used (there was another one but we didn't use it). We had a suite with balcony which had the most fabulous views. Lovely big bathroom with jacuzzi bath, separate lounge and sofas. The breakfast and dinner choices were good (lovely fresh fruit and breads, salads, meats and fish and a plethora of deserts of every kind). Big terrace to enjoy the views and the little restaurant that was open for lunch was absolutely wonderful with fabulous Greek dishes and charming staff. In fact the staff across the board were amazing and simply could not do enough for you. I would especially mention the waitress Maria in the main restaurant and the pool attendant Maria, who was so attentive and made the best bloody mary's ever! We were also made very welcome when we arrived and taken to the room and found the concierge staff very helpful, polite and easy to talk to. Even the cleaners were polite and friendly. Great team at this hotel.

Stunning hotel with superb views, nice big modern and stylish room. We had a partial sea view. Amazing pool area with multiple levels of sunbeds. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful - accommodating a late check-out at no extra cost. Excellent buffet breakfast amongst the best we’ve had and views from the restaurant are breathtaking.

Elounda is beautifully situated and the views across the bay to Spinalonga and Kolokrytha are spectacular.
The resort is quiet even though the port can get busy with daily trips to Spinalonga.
There are some lovely restaurants and as always the Cretans are welcoming.
The beaches are not the best I have seen but the water is beautiful.
I understand why people come back year after year.

What a wonderful charming place, the locals are lovely people it’s not over commercialised and a safe place for your teenage kids to spend a holiday exploring the town and harbour on foot on their own out of the apartment. It seemed more retirement couples oriented but do t let that put you off …

We loved Elounda apart from the mosquitoes! Lovely little shops selling tasteful gifts. Plenty of restaurants and not one bad meal while we were there. We loved the Happy Train, especially the 4 hour trip with an excellent guide. The beach is beautiful and peaceful early in the morning for a swim before breakfast. We enjoyed our day in Plaka and trip to Spinalonga. Taxis are good for trips out. People are friendly. We would love to go back one day.

Elounda is a small town rather than a village .
Elounda is a small town rather than a village . Its popularity seems to hinge on its proximity to Spinalonga . This results in many day trippers although there are numerous restaurants and we never had a problem getting a table for dinner . We prefer quieter fishing village locations which does affect the tone of this review . As ever the people of Greece are hospitable and are lucky to live in such a lovely country with amazing weather and delicious simple fresh produce .

Eloudas is more for families and couples. it has lots of restaurants, bars and shops including small supermarkets where you can get virtually anything you need for your holiday. There is no thudding music and generally is pretty quite as the evening goes on. The town is easy to walk around. the beach is close by and has a small play area for small children.
I didn't see much to do for teenagers but I could be wrong. We went in September.

Our stay at Elounda Orama was delightful! We visited as a couple with our dog, and the hotel's pet-friendly approach made it even more enjoyable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, ensuring we felt at home throughout our stay. The breakfast was a standout—plenty of options with generous portions to suit every taste. The hotel itself is spacious, with a prime location that offers easy access to local attractions. A wonderful choice for couples, families, and pet owners alike. We’ll definitely be back!
Small boutique Hotel. The location is directly inbetween Plaka and Elounda, right on the seafront so you could take a fairly long but nice walk to either. There were only about 10-15 rooms which meant breakfast was a very pleasant affair with plenty of choice.
The view from the room was exceptional and the hot tub on the terrace superb.
Every member of staff could not do enough to ensure your stay was a good one.
I visited 3 years ago and the hotel has changed a lot after a major renovation.
Elounda has many beautiful hotels but the main reason we always book the Elounda Peninsula is for the location of its suites. Where ever you are located you have totally privacy but within 2 minutes you have easy access to all facilities.
Definitely recommended.
The position and the view are the best things I found during in my stay.
