I went there in order to visit the ancient site. I arrived on a Monday, and intended to visit on Tuesday. The site is closed on Tuesdays! So I went Monday afternoon, and it was great because there was hardly anyone else there.
The town is right on the coast, but rather spoiled by the massive container shipping, and oil refinery. It's not really a coast for sunbathing or swimming.
There are plenty of shops and masses of cafes. The locals were friendly (this was just before main tourist season, so that probably helped!).

There is also an excellent local ceramicist who is highly skilled and makes high quality replicas for acropolis museum and others (Minoan - Hellenistic)

The Owner of the property was very friendly , waiting for us with a welcome bottle of wine , fruits , eggs , snacks , coffee, just to name few of the things she had prepared to welcome us. The surprise was a small beautiful painting of her work she gifted to us.
Excellent Owner and perfect house just next to Demeter's Temple at Elefsina, ideal to enjoy your stay at city of Elefsis.
The Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel from outside looks great....but honestly the inside shows a sign of age and wear...While the hotel is clean - one can tell it is also a bit dated with older carpets, tiles, bathroom, paint in some places...all showing some age,
Overall happy and no issues but the competition out there is intense.
Lovely apartment, well appointed in a very nice neighborhood in Elefsina. A short walk to all amenities, cafes, taverns, near the water and close to all transport. The hosts are gracious, good natured and very available to help with all guests needs.

Spacious and beautiful apartment. Very new, comfortable with all amenities. There is even a communal garden area. Great and quiet location with easy walking access to all of Elefsina. Lovely owner and wonderful staff who all do their best to create a welcoming atmosphere.
