Thalassa is a pretty hotel on the beach, with spacious rooms and several amenities. There's the pool (and a pool bar with good hours), beach area, a spa (which I didn't try out), and more. My room rate included breakfast and dinner, which I only partially took advantage of. It's located in the town so you can also easily walk to other restaurants, bars, coffee shops, walk the beach, etc. I was on the second floor in 604, and y room had a tiny day bed downstairs (along with a loveseat, a small drink station, and desk), and then up a flight of stairs was the main bed. Overall this was fine, though going to the bathroom in the middle of the night becomes a bit of an adventure. Everything was very clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful!

Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets close by. Nice beach also. Good bus route into Chania.
Our favourite restaurant was Nymfi and could have easily ate there every evening. The food was exceptional, as was the service and ambiance and decor were really great. Our 2 meals there were as good a dining experience as we have had and we eat out a lot. Highly recommend. We hired a car for our stay and the accommodation had its own onsite parking. Highly recommend accommodation.

Never been to Crete before but will return. Chania is nearby - a decent walk or short bus trip (10km) and is worth a day out. The beaches at Agia marina are superb. The whole area is so clean and everybody takes pride in keeping it that way.
Restaurants were the best we've been to for the full week. Couldn't fault any of them on quality, quantity and service provided.
Can do excursions if that's your thing with the most popular being Elafonisi, Balos and Samaria gorge.

A lovely beach which was clean and had facilities such as restaurants and bars also water sports close by.
We hired a car locally and got a better deal than using main hire companies

This was my 5th stay at Agia Marina.
This was my 5th stay at Agia Marina. I return each year because it feels just right. No huge hotels with all inclusive, well, few are, but just few. Very Humble place, tons of restaurants, shops, cats and beautiful sea.

If you are looking for relaxing vacations, good food and sandy beaches then you should definitely visit Agia Marina as it's paradise on Earth!
There are many Tavernas nearby, Gorgona Beach is awesome for food and ofc for swimming.
You can visit beaches with free sunbeds (Rodakino Beach bar) or more luxurious ones (Cabana Mare), depending on your likings.
Easy transportation, bus stops really close and many buses for either Chania or Platania or any other beach you like(Falasarna,Balos,Elafonisi etc.)
If you also like water sports, you can definitely do that as well.

lovely resort, not to busy but plenty of restaurant's. Our favourite was Tempo, traditional Greek taverna serving home cooked food. Located perfectly to our stay at Merabello apartments. Lovely beach, with lots of beach bars and loungers. Bus service was easy to use, visited Chania for a very reasonable price.

Location was excellent, only 30 mins drive from chania Airport and 20 mins from the old town
The beach was literally across the road, and there were numerous cafes and restaurants nearby.
The hotel had 2 good swimming pools and the breakfast was good
The panoramic room was a good size with 2 tvs and a PlayStation
Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Maria, at the front desk.
The villa was really nice in a quiet location only 20-30 minutes from Chania. It was clean and had a lovely pool and view of the sunset. The host was really nice and brought us bread every morning, he also recommended us some restaurants around.
Great pool area with plenty of loungers. Never too crowded when we were there. Friendly and welcoming staff. Very close to restaurants, shops and bus stop for Chania, as well as the beach.
