We stayed in the low season for a single night after a difficult couple of days with car trouble. This hotel made everything very easy, from a welcoming check in, a luxurious room with sweeping views of the valley, and staff available and cheerful at all times. There was also an in house buffet meal (understandably a pale version of the high season menu, but better than we expected for the timing). It is a 3 minute drive from the village of Olympia, but for that you get the views and sense of a self contained location. Would happily have stayed for longer. Particular shout out to the warmth of the staff in all areas and their keen desire to know that we had what we needed and were set up for a good experience. Also very good bed.
Just 15 minutes walk away from the sacred site of Ancient Olympia, this charming hotel offers quality rooms, complete with orthopaedic mattresses, for a comfortable stay in a peaceful area.

The site itself and the museum were superb. Best of all on November 15 we had it almost to ourselves with not a tour group in sight. We had the room with the pediments and Hermes all to ourselves. I have visited a dozen times over the past 35 years and always to share the treasures with large groups. We ran on the stadium and there was only 3 other people there. Amazing

We saw the original Olympics Games field, went in the informative museum, saw ruins of a temple to Zeus and went in another museum related to it. There were places to relax outside. Nice restaurant in a quiet place two blocks from Hotel Hercules. Loved the Archimedes Museum and enjoyed the liveliness of the downtown area.
If you have a car, going up into the mountains to see the Acropolis for Apollo, a UNESCO world site is worth it. It has more intact parts it seems that the Acropolis in Athens and is under restoration and is covered with a large tent to prevent erosion.

Combo ticket 12E admits to Archaeological Site, Archaeological Museum, Historic Olympic Museum. Highly recommend Archimedes Museum on main street - free and super interesting. Went to Aegean Restaurant - excellent cabbage rolls and great stewed greens dish, and eggplant salad which was also delicious. Also highly recommend Europa Hotel Tavern the Garden - had a perimeter table with awesome view and excellent food. We stayed at Hotel Pelops in town, owned by same family, and perhaps we had such excellent experience with dinner because of the connection. There is also a pool at Europa that you can go to even if you are at Pelops hotel which is much more convenient to town.

It's a small but nice town.
It's a small but nice town. There are many nice cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops in the center. Ruins of ancient Olimpia is a historic place where you can get to know about the olympic games that were held in the ancient times. Ruins have good descriptions in Greek, English and German and are very close to the town center. It's also easy to find it since there are directions on the way there. Olimpia is a nice town for a half-day or one-day trip.

Such a lovely place near the Olympia Archeological site. The hotel is comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the setting is stunning that beckons you to linger. They have a pool that is welcoming after exploring the the ancient site. The dinner was wonderful and the breakfast met our needs.
Olympia is a very small place, so location is alright anywhere you stay. The couple keeping the hotel was great. It shows is an old hotel and I enjoyed the feeling of a more traditional place to be. Brought memories of a long time ago. Breakfast was good and the place in general was quite good.
Lovely location in Olympia, could walk to archeological site and shops and cafes etc.
Room large and clean and had air con and a fridge.
Easy to park on street near hotel.
The pool area was fantastic.
