The lady who was so nice - explained to us about the island, the beaches, the walking trails. The location, the room - just on the sea, fantastic view. It felt like home.

It was set in a beautiful location and only 10 minutes to town by foot. Great staff and wonderful service. Georgia, Nikos and Giannis were great! Excellent hosts!

The husband and wife team Angeliki and Stergios are quite helpful and attentive. Angeliki elicits such warm feelings that she almost appears to be running on sheer joy much of the time. Stergios is more low key and interacts in a steady and circumspect manner. The location is quite good; the town is very walkable. The breakfast looked spectacular although I am not a breakfast person.
My one area of dissatisfaction is the room interior. The rooms are quite stark, almost monastic in nature. I don't believe there was even a picture on a wall, and the bed and lamps were quite old, although the mattress was firm. I realize most of the guests are French and they are not as concerned with old fashioned hotel rooms as U.S. citizens. The major issue for me was the bathroom. There is no showerhead. The shower is extremely outdated and one must use a hand held shower hose. I believe the last time I even stayed in a hotel room with a hand held shower hose was 1979 or 1980. So I would ask Stergios (he seems able to fix anything) please update the showers so that the bathrooms have an overhead showerhead. It may take a while to update all the bathrooms, but at least update a few of them. Ppl will pay more if they receive a renovated room. And perhaps, Angeliki, replace the bathroom towels with softer and newer towels. It is amazing how much better one feels, if after a shower, the towels are soft and skin friendly. (even if one must hold the shower head)
All this being said, I would still stay here again, if I am invited back!!

Our stay in Amorgos was nothing short of amazing. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a kitchenette and a lovely balcony offering stunning views of the port of Katapola. The hotel's central location was ideal for exploring the island, with just a 5-minute drive to the port, another 5 minutes to Chora, and only 20-30 minutes to reach most other parts of the island.
Breakfast was a highlight, featuring not only classic staples like eggs, coffee, and fresh orange juice but also local delicacies such as spinach pie, zucchini pie, and a delicious orange cake. It was a wonderful way to start each day.
However, the true standout of our stay was our host, Andreas, and his exceptional team. From the moment we arrived, Andreas went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He took the time to sit down with us, map in hand, and personally mark the best spots for swimming, snorkeling, and dining. His restaurant recommendations were spot on, as he tries them all himself each year to ensure they remain top-notch. We even ran into him a few times while exploring the port and dining, where his warmth and hospitality were evident.
When our ferry was unexpectedly canceled, Andreas stepped in to assist us in navigating alternative routes and even offered to organize transportation to another port. His support made what could have been a stressful situation much more manageable.
While Amorgos captivated us with its breathtaking views, delicious food, and rich culture, it was Andreas who truly made our experience unforgettable. We absolutely fell in love with the island, and we can’t recommend this hotel enough!"

We had a very pleasant stay at Sofia’s facility. The property was very well taken care with all the amenities working properly.
The bonus was her disposition to pick us up at the port, give all pertinent informations, to be available by phone at all times and the convenience of renting a car (fairly new and in good conditions) with her, even though the prices were similar to the rental car companies.
