We chose Argostoli as being the capital thought there would be more restaurants and bars open as Cruise ships were coming in when we were there. But when we visited other villages on the islamd they also seemed quite busy so it might be possible to stay elsewhere in October. I know Easyjet's last flight back was on the 3rd November so there may have been 2 or more weeks of the season left.

We had a fantastic 3-day stay at Erato Apartment in Argostoli! The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was very good, with a lovely view, close to the Argostoli town center but still quiet for a relaxing stay. Dimitri and his family were very welcoming and made sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Kefalonia!

Argostoli is a great town, well placed on the island to be able to explore both north and south areas, plus very close to the airport and some good local beaches. The town is very busy at night with lots of places to eat and drink.

A nice place to visit mostly at night for a walk in the large central square surrounded by palm trees. Shop, have drinks or try different places to eat, lots of choices.
You can also use it as a starting point for boat trips to Lixouri, Ithaca or other wonderful beaches on the island.

A friendly and luxurious small boutique hotel, the location is perfect for Argostoli and Lassi, the pool is great and there was always sundbeds available and we stayed at the busiest time.
The views are incredible, the bar service friendly and the Breakfast tasty with lots of options.
Worth noting the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We would happily stay here again.
The structure of the house with fantastic view! The pool was also fit to our expectation! Pakos was so friendly and he reacted very fast to our any questions! The special sweet, kantaifi, what we get as surprise was a "cream on top" :) The beach is realy at the end of the property but hided and not crowded at all, even this is one of the best beach in Kefalonia.
Anna Maria is the best host we could possibly have! She told us all the places to visit from
Beaches to night out, events and was always there when we needed her. The room was perfectly clean, full equipped and at the heart of Argostoli. Waking distance to restaurants, bars, bakeries, supermarkets etc. We absolutely recommend staying there!
