Pelagos, hotel in Aegiali

Just 150 metres from the sandy beach of Aegiali in Amorgos, the Cycladic-style Pelagos offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and balcony overlooking the Aegean Sea.

The room we stayed was spacious, in a very good condition, regularly cleaned and with a beautiful sea view. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. The location is premium as it’s about 5-10 minutes walk to the beautiful beach of Aegiali, while the port from where several ferries depart was even closer.

    Great location to stay at.

Great location to stay at. Beach is big and sandy, great for families. Plenty of options for bars, cafes and restaurants. Great villages close by, our favorite was Lagkada. The main town is about half an hour away with lots of turns and twists.

Beautiful little town on a stunning island.

Beautiful little town on a stunning island. Great beach and really good cafes and restaurants. I went for the hiking, there were 2 or 3 really good well marked trails but one I tried was really hard to follow.

    A great place to stay.

A great place to stay. A great beach on the doorstep and several others a reasonable walk away. Loads of eating and drinking places. Really good for walkers. Some challenging hikes, but also more gentle walks. Usually these are on wonderful cobbled 'donkey' trails.

    Such a charming little town.

Such a charming little town. Not as developed as other islands so retains charm and a load of character. Great little tavernas and bars for sunset. Everyone very friendly, very easy to find your way around. The perfect holiday location.

This is a perfect, unhurried location to unwind and just relax. Lots of local food options, two grocery stores, a bakery and various shops and ATMs in town provide everything you'd need. We loved the Limani Restaurant in particular for its food and atmosphere. It has a great menu with several daily specials (meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan offerings) and we ate several meals there. Nice beach - rather skinny but nice and long and pretty clean. Gets direct sunlight from about 10:00 AM and is a great place to watch the sunset. The population of the town is around 500 so things move at a pretty relaxed pace. While there are several nice tavernas that also offer food I wouldn't say that this is a place to come if you're craving nightlife. Two local villages, Thoralia and Lungarno which are both less than a 10-minute drive are packed with old-style Greek and definitely worth visiting. Lots of hiking trails of varying difficulty in the area. People were extremely friendly and welcoming.

There's not much to see or do on Amorgos but Aegiali is an enchanting place to kick back and chill for a few days. Nice beach with zero hassle to pay for deckchairs and lots of great, friendly restaurants and cafes, all at decent prices. If anything the quiet and lack of culture got a little tedious - it would be an ideal place to get to know an engaging new lover or write that novel!

The location is great. In the middle of the beautiful village with restaurants, shops and bars a few streps away and also very close to the beautiful beach. The surrounding is very relaxed and quiet. The rooms have a modern design are very clean and have a nice outdoor sitting-area. AC worked perfectly. The view on the second floor is superb. We will definitely choose Anatoli if we go back to Amorgos.

The apartment is very clean, with a beautiful view to the sea and was very close to the center of Aegeali but unfortunately I have arrived there with a broken leg. The owner Sofia was so kind to drive me down to the restaurant every day for the entire duration. Thank You! Because of her I was able enjoy Aegiali as well We are looking forward to return next year.

A great place to stay in Aegiali. The host met me off the ferry. Pension is just back from sea front, and my terrace had partial sea views. Everything was clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful and offered local raki from Amorgos. A lovely stay. Great value for money,. I will stay here again for sure.

The studios have an excellent view across Aegiali bay and are particularly good for watching sunsets from the small balcony. The beds are comfortable and there is a small separate kitchen space. The studios are up quite a steep hill so being met.at the port was helpful.
