I liked the sea - we were in October and the weather was perfect. We took a boat for self boating - no license is required and it was great. We had a very good sea experience, swimming, free diving (snorkel) and jumping from the boat... we could see a sea turtle and flying fishes... we mostly cooked our own food in the villa.
We drove to visit Chania and Heraklion.

The beach and the waters are not bad.
The beach and the waters are not bad. Everything else unfortunately is: getting there, inadequate road signs and parking space, the village and the roads are a total mess. The cafes and bars reach almost to the water, over the sandy beach, which is unacceptable..

The beach and main area is beautiful, stunning beach with lots of water activities and little shops and bars. Perfect to break up your holiday from sitting by the pool. 30 mins from the airport so good transfer times.

Very nice place, around 30 min drive to Heraklion and around 2 hours drive to Chania.
Many good restaurants and 3 scuba dive centers, one directly on the beach.
It is a good place to relax, although we did not liked the city beach there are a few nice beaches nearby and also a good place to explore the island - excepting the situation when you want to try the recommended beaches which are at the edges of Crete. As the dive to either Vai (palm tree beach) or to Elafonisi / Preveli / Balos is 3 hours or more, if you aim for these beaches it is better to use another location as base.

A lovely place to stay....the beach can get crowded but if you arrive early enough it's fine.
Nothing better than a early swim from our accommodation Seascapes which was excellent and only 100m from sea.
Plenty of tavernas to choose from for lunch and dinner.
Shops plentiful and not overly expensive.
Great little supermarket on sea front.

This is a lovely, clean hotel, with a great view and very, very friendly staff (both at the reception and in the restaurant).
Plenty sunbeds (no need to race with towels in the morning), no loud music in the swimming pool area, no "all inclusive entertainment". It is a perfect place to relax if you like peaceful places with local products and family atmosphere.
Best Hotel location so far, and ive seen a lot. Very friendly and nice personal. Great cleaners.. excellent food. All good. Amazing Yoga with Jenny or work out with Theo. Awesome view! Great walk to beach.
Diving center was great. Staywet. A must for first timers. They have a 95% success rate.
Boat rental was also amazing
Beautiful location with a lovely swimming pool where the view overlooks the sea and Agia Pelagia below. Stella, Nikolas and family were always very friendly and helpful. Nice home cooked food and bar available on site. 2 beaches within a 5 and 10 minute walk. We had an amazing time at Pennystella Apartments.
We spent a perfect week at Happy Cretan Suites. The apartments with pool are amazing - the furniture is modern and beautiful and the pool is very nice (although quite cold ;)). The staff is nice and the whole setting and mood of the hotel is very calming and beautiful.
The outdoor gym is perfect.
The staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic. And also a big thank you to the chefs in the kitchen. Your food is amazing! The rooms were also very clean and fresh top sheets every day!
