This was a lovely little quaint and rustic hotel kind of in the middle of nowhere. I love the gardens on the property which were very well situated and made it feel very welcoming. I also was super impressed with the size of the Chalet. Ebenezer was very kind and attentive to my needs. I like the fact that I was able to charge my phone devices also. The view of the ocean was stunningly beautiful. It was a real relaxing treat while eating breakfast. Also, the air conditioning worked wonderfully. I'm glad I noticed there are un-air conditioned rooms as well as rooms equipped with AC. So if you're looking for an affordable, cozy, and rustic location with a spectacular view of the ocean, with breakfast included, this is be the place for you.

1. People who work for this hostel
Receptionists cared me every time, when I need to help. Not only just working, but they also helped me mentally. Two boys of receptionists worked hard without any complaints every time and they tried to solve my issues, even though the problem was tiny in general. Their behaviors are so respectful and thankful. It was pleasure to meet them in this time. A owner was also good personality. He cared me a lot with humorous mind, warm heart and a gorgeous Japanese T-shirts.
Although this hostel is not 5-stars hotel generally, If you don’t care of facilities like below, I strongly recommend this hostel because a location is fantastic and some situation makes you comfortable.
I hope I could stay there with them again.
Thank you for your hard working.

The home was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The hosts were welcoming and attentive. We liked the quiet setting because it is off a paved road a bit of a distance. It has nice views because it sits up on a hill a bit.

It was a memorable place, very nice and helpful people…..moved around quite a bit, Ebenezer from hans cottage was very helpful in my transportation and site seeing…learnt a lot of slave trade history which was sad. The coastline is very beautiful and a visit to st george’s/elmina and cape coast castle is a must! Canopy walk at kakum national park was awesome. I used a private car from accra and paid ten times the price, thx to Ebenezer, my return trip with francol transport services was fast, comfortable and very affordable…the jollof rice n goat was tasty but very hot!!…its very safe to walk around especially at cape coast. Kumasi is very developed and beautiful but quite a distance from cape coast….the road construction caused a lot of time wastage in traffic but the visit to kente weaving center was worth the hassle….the weavers were gracious to come in on Sunday although it’s not a working day, thanks to an elderly papa who patiently gave us directions from kumasi to bonwire….Christianborg/Osu castle is another gem in accra. Getting to the black star tower was exciting and learning the history of the square as well as 28february street was informative….oxford street is too hyped but there wasn’t much to see. Next time I will spend more time at cape coast….its cooler than accra and very beautiful…totally enjoyed my stay.

Cape Coast is well worth the 3 hour drive from Accra.
Cape Coast is well worth the 3 hour drive from Accra. The castle is a must-see (be sure to take the guided tour). The town is big enough to find banks and necessities, and has a couple of tourist-friendly restaurants. Baobob House in particular (a charity) has great vegetarian takes on Ghanaian dishes. People are friendly but the souvenir sellers can be very pushy.

Cape Coast grows on you and is an acquired taste.
Cape Coast grows on you and is an acquired taste. You do not fall in love with her immediately but she gradually works her way into your system. But it holds tremendous history and is surtounded by castles and forts that hold the stories of slavery and slave trade.
It is easy to get around Cape Coast using rickshaws, taxis and trotros and it is also very affordable.
Great places to visit are Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle and Kakum National Park which has the famous canopy walk in the forest and exciting tree houses.
I stayed at the Orange Beach Resort and enjoyed the food here immensely so did not go out to eat. The menu is lical, fresh and a wet dream for an episcatarian with giant lobsters and sumptuous grilled fish going.

Cape coast castle has an interesting and sad history and it’s worth taking the guided tour. It’s also worth a visit to Kakum National Park which is about an hour in a taxi from the centre of town. The canopy walk there is an exhilarating experience.
