Basic rooms but fabulous location almost opposite the cave city. Kind and generous hosts who helped organize a swim in the nearby hot spring pool (definitely recommend!). Amazing homegrown and homemade meals provided on request - best homestay food and wine I have had all trip.

The host (Beka) was very nice and helpful. Nice hotel with three rooms built into the earth with grass on the roof. This is a tradition of the area but looks similar to the village in the movie "The Hobbit" (hence the name). Tmogvi is a very small village located in a beautiful area. Many interesting things to see in the area. The Vardzia Caves are in our opinion not the top attraction but there are many other sights making it worth your time.
