Crathorne Hall, hotel in Yarm

Surrounded by the picturesque Leven Valley and Yorkshire Moors, Crathorne Hall Hotel offers a luxurious retreat in an Edwardian stately home set within 15 acres of woodland in North Yorkshire.

Absolutely everything. Emma was so very accommodating. I had mentioned on booking that I had recently got engaged (last week) and we were over celebrating with friends that live in Yarm. We were upgraded to a superior room and by coincidence there was a wedding show on display. Beautiful room, with a magnificent free standing bath, beautiful staff. So very pleased with our stay here and we will definitely be back to celebrate.

Hampton By Hilton Stockton On Tees, hotel in Yarm

The Hampton by Hilton Stockton on Tees is based in the heart of Northshore, opposite Teesdale Business Area.

We thought the breakfast was very good. So much provided and lots of choice. It was also nice to sit in the lounge just past the breakfast area. The big windows were lovely and it was peaceful. The staff in the breakfast area were very welcoming and organized. Our room was very clean and the shower was great. We also liked that the toiletries were in refillable containers on the walls since that cuts down on plastic waste.

The Stockton Arms Hotel, hotel in Yarm

Situated 46 km from Stadium of Light, The Stockton Arms Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Stockton-on-Tees and has a garden, a shared lounge and a bar.

I have stayed here before and therefore if I have gone back it must be OK. I went for the Junior Studio which was lovely and spacious. Very smart and clean and well decorated. The breakfast whilst self service was great. Cereals, cakes, toast, fruit, yoghurts, fruit drinks, cheese. I was impressed that on the first day one of the radiators in the room (there were two radiators) and the towel rail wasn't working but they had put an electric heater in the room. The next day the heater was gone but the heating had been fixed.

Yarm is a lovely, historic town - a delight in it's own right, with many very good restaurants and welcoming pubs. The cobbled streets, viaduct and bridge over the tees have some nice walks too - very picturesque. Yarm is also very well located for the North York moors and the beautiful seaside towns of Saltburn and Whitby as well as Mount Grace Priory and Fountains Abbey.

Yarm is a charming town with a beautiful riverside to walk along and very interesting architecture - especially the viaduct. Local shops were varied and some great cafe's and restaurants. Great place to stay for a solo traveler. Other interesting places to visit are situated close by - suitable for lone travelers, couples and families. Local people very friendly and helpful.

We always like coming to Yarm as the High Street is so varied and interesting. It is situated like an oasis in a quite busy region that offers something for everyone. We visited the coast as well as stopping off at other towns & villages and we very much enjoyed the whole experience.

Room comfortable, but not spacious. Meals excellent.

Room comfortable, but not spacious. Meals excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Were not impressed that the full cost of the stay was taken from our account on the day of booking, even though it was some time ahead of our stay. It is the only time when booking any hotel on line that this has happened.

We stayed in Buttercup Cottage which was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and with everything we needed available. Such a bonus to have parking available in Yarm and it’s location is ideal for the high street shops, eateries and night life. We would definitely stay here again. Although we didn’t have personal interaction with the owners/manager, Gareth did text early in the evening to check that everything was okay, which was a welcome touch.

Room 2 was a good size and clean. Nice shower. Comfy bed. My son and girlfriend enjoyed the hot tub attached to their room. There is a pub up the road which was easy to walk to. Hot tub under cover was very good and much better when the temp had gone down. Yarm was worth a visit.
