I had to book a room at The Midland at the last minute due to a canceled flight and it greatly surpassed my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and charming - always love a good bit of banter - and my room was spacious and incredibly comfortable. The bed was heaven and the room was super quiet, which was perfect for catching some needed sleep before catching a very early flight the next morning.

Perfect hotel to stay in Manchester. Great location, magnificent buffet breakfast with Gluten free options (just don’t forget your jacket cause you have to walk a few meters outside to reach the breakfast room). Nice bar in the lobby opened 24/24 with super benevolent staff, which is really cool for a late drink. Wonderful team at the reception that will do all its best to solve any of your issues / questions. Big up to Jennifer and Nicole.
An exceptionally well maintained hotel inside and out.

Lovely place to stay, hotel location is perfect and away from the noises of the motorway. Worsley presents itself as a village and there is a vibe around the canal basin and the village green. some decent eating places within walking distance

Paul on the bar/ restaurant was very helpful nothing was to much trouble.
The room very disappointed bed was so close to the wall was difficult trying to get in and out of bed to use the bathroom at night.
I accidentally bumped into the wall and hit my face due to been dark and disorientation and such a very narrow gap,
I also had hip problems so found it Evan more difficult getting pass the bed,
We did ask to upgrade to a bigger room however that was the Sam only 1m bigger so was not prepared to pay the extra £20.
USB does not work next to bed 209 got very hot next to dressing table.
Not to mention the hair dryer got so hot smelt of burning so did not use it ,luckily I had my own.

Worsley is a lovely village, but inaccessible on foot from the hotel. The hotel was very convenient for the RHS Bridgewater Gardens. We visited the Lowry Centre and took a boat trip round the Salford docks and the canal system and were amazed at the redevelopment of the area.

Clean room and bathroom, nice housekeeping staff.
Clean room and bathroom, nice housekeeping staff.
Poorly trained reception manager, reception staff and bar staff.
Breakfast first morning good,
Evening meal in bar overpriced and tables left with plates and glasses on them, staff did not tidy up and stood chatting, they could not pour a pint !
Lack of care for visitors, planned power outage not mentioned on arrival and we were missed out when messages put in rooms! Hence no warm breakfast second morning, showered in dark and couldn’t dry hair!
Apparently we should have read signs (which we hadn’t seen) Left feeling underwhelmed with breakfast issue not sorted ! Reception Manager emailed when we arrived home to offer less than the two breakfasts cost back, I rang and ended up getting a much better response from assistant manager and a better amount back, however I would not recommend nor stay again!

We liked the room and the privacy of it. Plus the cleanliness of it.
We loved the swimming pool and other bits that we were allowed to use bc we were staying at the hotel.
Nice hotel. First time in a Novotel and very impressed. Didn’t stay long enough to use bar/restaurant or gym but would look to use again for any stays.
