Occupying a privileged position, on the edge of Sherwood Forest, this Nottinghamshire hotel is a haven of unrivalled tranquility and natural beauty; an ideal base for exploring the county.

The Worksop area is great for easy access to lots of nature parks and attractions, such as Sherwood Pines, Sherwood Forest, Thoresby Hall and Clumber Park. I would not recommend the Muthu Clumber Park Hotel though, as the rooms are dirty and dated and not at all as advertised.

Chatsworth House is not too far away. I recommend the farm shop café.
Hardwick Hall was built in 1593. Last tenant died 1960's. Nearly every wall has a tapestry on it.

Loved the hotel and its surrounding gardens and the adjacent canal with its locks will be a great distraction in the summer when the canal boats are passing through.
Still very new in appearance and has everything that you would expect and at a very reasonable price.
Will make a good base for a touring holiday as it has local attractions and plenty nearby as well.
We will most definitely stay here again when we are in the area and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Warm, friendly, receptive staff. The room was absolutely spotless & very comfortable. Hotel offers a wide, great priced menu of food & drinks & is ideally located opposite the train station, or a short, leisurely walk into town. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Extremely impressed.
