Warm, comfortable and cosy room. Helpful and polite staff, great location and great value for money. We have stayed here 3 times now and will be back again!
The Duke of Marlborough is a quaint building just outside Woodstock and Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. It offers free parking and hearty, locally-sourced food.
Dating back to 1637, this coaching inn is situated on the ancient Worcester to London road (B4027), on the edge of picturesque Wootton village, just 2 miles from Woodstock.

The setting was lovely, the food was great and the waitress that served us was lovely.
In picturesque Woodstock, just 20 minutes’ drive from Oxford centre, Macdonald Bear Hotel offers a restaurant. Set in a 13th-century inn, the rooms have period features.

Woodstock is so charming and it feels like a step back in time. The people were so friendly and helpful! We walked everywhere in town (it's not that big). There is a wide variety of restaurants, and most of the prices were reasonable. Our favorite by far was the Star Inn with their fish and chips deal. We also enjoyed The Kings Arms pub for after dinner drinks. The best part is the easy walk to Blenheim Palace, which is absolutely worth your time! I can't wait to go back and spend more time in Woodstock.
