We really enjoyed staying here. The room was clean, comfortable and I really liked that it had a choice of shower or bath. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

This represents one of the best examples of pubs. Wide selection of booze, local ales, fantastic food made by a chef who cares, not pre-made nor microwaved. The rooms were cosy, clean and well equipped. Complementary and generous portion of port was a great touch made even greater by its superb taste! The only thing warmer than the staff is the log wood fireplace in the entrance!

The property was perfect for what we needed. We were going to a wedding at the Old Kent Barn just round the corner and we couldn’t have stayed any closer! The property was clean, spacious and cosy! It felt like a home away from home. Parking was great and the host was very contactable if needed. I also left an item at the property and he found and posted it straight away, which was very kind. I would recommend and stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.

We were travelling through Canterbury on our way to the Eurotunnel, having a really early start the next day the Bat and Ball staff left us some pastries and orange juice to start our day.
