The Brown Horse Hotel, hotel in Wolsingham

The Brown Horse Hotel is located outside Tow Law, 25 minutes’ drive from the historic city of Durham. This family-run property offers a restaurant and free WiFi.

The outside was a little off putting as it needs a lick of paint but there's a large car park which is really handy. Surprisingly there was a communal fridge and microwave which was great for our freezer packs. Wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. Room was clean and comfortable.

Large countryside home, hotel in Wolsingham

Situated in Tow Law in the Durham region, Large countryside home has a terrace. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the holiday home free of charge.

This home is exceptional. Had all the facilities and everything you could think of and more. It is so clean and I'm sure if you have forgotten something it would be available at this stay. My kids loved all the games that were available too. They noticed I was on my own with kids and were attentive and made sure if I needed anything they were 2 minutes up the road. The hamper with breakfast was an excellent touch.

A pleasant, unpretentious village, with charm and all the services you need within a short walking distance. We enjoyed all our meals at the nearby restaurants and pubs. The neighbors were friendly and the village was not overtly touristy. There are a number of lovely circular walks originating from the center that include walks along the river, across pastures and up the hills into the fell.

It has nice scenery and there are plenty of nice walks.

It has nice scenery and there are plenty of nice walks. There are some nice places to visit which are only short drives away. Good places to eat are Coppermine in Crook 6 miles away n also Fir Tree inn about the same distance. The village lacks shops in the centre of the village. There are three places to go for a drink the best been the Charles Atwood.
