The staff were lovely with good service. The meal was superb and the bar area was warm, cosy and pretty. It was nice that our dog was made welcome too.

I didn’t get a breakfast not through choice , disappointment there . I can see the place has been used quite a lot spills over the walls. Morning coffee machine wasn’t working and I think it’s just left - not working ?
The bar staff at night were x2 were just keeping to themselves and slow to react .

The staff took really good care of us. In particular, Berick and Tiberius. We stayed in Swan cottage which was exceptional. Lovely views, cosy living room, great bedrooms, bathrooms and a log burner.

Beautiful house, perfect and plenty of room for 11 family members attending a wedding nearby. Added toiletries was a lovely gesture as was the chocolate cake as a welcome gift. Lovely seating area outdoor, shame it rained during our stay

Location was good and the host was friendly and accommodating.
We were able to check in early which was great as we could change before attending our wedding. The room was pleasant with good wardrobe space.

Witney is a great little town, although it does get very busy around rush hour and at the weekend. There are plenty of good places to eat (I would recommend the Blue Boar) and a nice variety of shops as well as a cinema. Use it as a base to explore Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. You won't be disappointed.

Witney is a lovely little market town with plenty of food and drink establishments. The food at the Blue Boar was very good. There is a great deal of choice in the High Street and adjoining Corn Street all easy walking distance. Witney is very compact and easy to get around, and all parking is free.

We didn't actually spend much time in Witney, as it was just a convenient place to stay (for other activities), although my partner was pleased to find useful items at the wool local shop. If we would have had more time to spare, we may have discovered other useful shops

I used to live in Witney.
I used to live in Witney. Came back to London, where I was born & raised, 15 years ago but my father & children (err, all mid-late 30's) live in that area, so I visit regularly. Summer, The Fleece for lunch outside overlooking the Green. Taxi to Hailey since The Bird in Hand is special. There is the blanket museum because it's a bit of a give away that Witney has a wool exchange, a mill and a history! Plenty of walks & fresh air. Almost forgot, Roman ruins https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-57510142

Witney is a great little town.
Witney is a great little town. Parking in West Oxon is free in all council car parks - a rarity these days. So many places to visit - Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens, Cogges Farm Museum, Blenheim Palace... it goes on. Many cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants in town. Independent shops in Witney and nearby villages/towns. It's just lovely.
Witney is a lovely place to visit. sadly due to covid it’s lost quite a few shops. it is also unique because it has managed to keep independent shops. it is quite a number of years sinceI said in The Blue Boar and I was fortunate enough to stay in the annex which was nice and private.
Stands in a picturesque location of the Cotswolds and ideal location to some of the stunning and quirky little villages. Also, it's a great location if you fancy visiting Didley Squat farm shop. The hotel is very nice with very friendly staff. Great location, great hotel and great food
We had a great stay here at Corncroft Guest House. Ideal location for Witney town centre and a gateway to The Cotswolds. Rooms were big , clean and comfortable. Nick was a fab host. Thanks again
