I would’ve rated this a 10 but I didn’t because on one of my numerous stays I got a really nice room. I can’t remember the room number but the room had floor length mirrors, the window was attached to a curved wall so it had a really nice view. I have asked the receptionist countless times for that same room and each time I am met with the same answer “we don’t know what the insides of the rooms look like” I think that’s really unfair. I have asked them to try and check my records and see what rooms I have been allocated. I would really like to know the room number so I can check for availability when booking. I really love the view from that room and I would like to stay there when next I visit derby (ps. I visit derby a lot)

A beautiful building in a beautiful location. We were served cream tea on arrival which included the most delicious scones we have ever tasted.
Dinner was fabulously cooked and presented and we were served by two very friendly, polite and helpful waitresses who actually seemed happy to be there.
Breakfast was the same, obviously good quality food and very well cooked and presented. An altogether wonderful relaxing experience and we definitely hope to visit again.

Rooms are a really good size with very comfortable beds. Really comfortable stay, slept well and would recommend. Stayed during the week and it was all very quiet. There are a handful of pubs nearby for food and drinks in the evening and it's literally 2 mins walk from WIllington station.
The Cottage was a lovely property, ideally located in Willington. Opposite the train station, next door to the Dragon Inn and decorated to an outstanding level. The stay was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent.
