The Landlady was very pleasant and helpful, check in is at 4pm and she was right on time, showed us to our room and explained the features. view from the room was of the courtyard, the water pressure and temperature was more than needed. The bathroom was modern and clean, the room is located in a public house and the bar was friendly and had a good selection of local beers.

This is a beautiful town and hotel right over the Welsh border from England. We loved our stay and the family room was perfect for our group of four. Breakfast was delicious and got us ready for the day! We didn't get there early enough to relax in the bar but we'll have to come back and try that out!

Nice room, very well decorated. The separate sitting area excellent as we entertained friends there.
Parking with my 'blue badge' was good.

The property was lovely. Two of us had our own rooms ready for a course today. We arrived last night and where greeted and treated with care and professionalism. After checking in we where shown where our rooms where. If you expecting 5*. It isn’t but it’s defo a nice place to stay.
Once we’d got changed we headed down for dinner. The food was wicked, I had ham eggs and chips. It was great being served such great pub grub.
I’ll be coming back here to stay again in the very near future.
Thanks to all the staff for having gone to so much trouble sorting us out breakfast as we left early. This hotel is a*** for helping us out so much above and beyond.

Pretty little village with a Castle set in pleasant fields ideal for dog walking. Ellesmere with its own large mere and 5 or 6 others close by were only 5 miles away and the Mongomery and Llangollen canal confluence is even closer. Then on your return to Boote, be sure of a warm welcome.

It's a nice English village to spend one or two nights; very handy if you are planning activities around Chirk or Oswestry. The village has a Georgian church and a ruined castle which you can look around free of charge as well as two pubs. I'd recommend Ye Old Boote Inn. It has great food and a great atmosphere.

We only had a very short visit 5.30pm Sat - 7.15am Sun, so didn't visit the area surrounding the inn. Location was ideal for us to visit an antiques fair early morning. Breakfast was provided at 6.45am even though the restaurant didn't open until 9am. We had a meal at the bar Sat evening, which was good. Staff were very friendly. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of hot water and the room was warm.

Nice bathroom, breakfast brilliant as was the evening meal.
Nice bathroom, breakfast brilliant as was the evening meal. Very friendly staff.
Our room on the road / junction was very noisy.
The mattress had broken springs, but we reported it and we expect it will be replaced.
We would stay again but in a different room. We had the smallest twin room as that was all that was left available when we booked.

The castle is good but village itself pubs are ridiculously expensive for meals and drinks i.e pint of lager ,gin and tonic and small packet of cheddars £17 only 1 chip shop great if you like everything either deep fries or covered in hot chilli sauce taxi 2.2 miles from nearest train station cost £10 wouldn't recommend for anyone travelling on a budget
