Fantastic location at an amazing price. Vince at reception was very helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and very large.
It exceeded my expectations for the price I paid.

Cara’s is located in a fine Victorian terraced house right in the center of Whitley Bay. It faces a large, green strand overlooking the public beach, with a lovely view from the bay window in our room. Very easy to find. Parking is on a side street or reasonably priced pay parking lot a block from the B&B. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast here was exceptional – a full English breakfast cooked lovingly by our host Mareia. She gave us lots of helpful tips on what to see and where to eat. Pour stay here was better than we expected. Highly recommend!

From The Royal Hotel on the promenade, there is an unspoilt picturesque coastline to historical Tynemouth with ancient monastery, old shipping port, and walk beyond. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity of the town. On the other side of The Royal Hotel, there is a walk along the promenade to St Mary's Lighthouse. Please check times if/when it is open.

I liked the beach golden sands, I liked their was a wetherspoons which was called The Fire Station, I had a lovely breakfast. Whitley Bay had a lovely walk along the beach to St Marys Lighthouse, or you could walk along the cliff edge. Toilets near beach, was toilets near lighthouse but they were all boarded up, but not too far to walk to toilets near the town. Good bus service to Newcastle cost £2 a single. Lots of nice different shops.

The beach and surrounding area are lovely, and easy to walk around. The renovation of the Spanish City is great and Valerie's tearooms are a definitely worth a stop. I have been informed it is decorated with lights at Christmas. There are various excellent Fish and Chip venues (a trip to an English Coastal town is not complete without), along with some nice restaurants with a sea view.
The walk along the coastal path through Cullercoats to Tynemouth is a must, or hiring bikes and cycling further.
I also understand a new area of food venues called The Stack is opening this year.
Well worth a visit.

Very tired looking resort some improvements made to the sea front walkway very nice beaches appear clean .
However a lot of empty properties on sea front some being refurbished but at moment gives a negative image.not much to do on the sea front nice tea shop
Small amusement area for the kids enough maybe for a day out venue rather than a substantial visit.
A l tile disconcerting was in our 3 days there we were approached 4 times by people on the street for money
Whilst walking around not a criticism of the people more a reflection of certain issues country wide even in picturesque Whitby

My experience was exceptional. Beautiful accommodation, friendly staff, amazing breakfast. Less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. It really made by trip. Please support these small businesses. They truly made me feel welcome and couldnt do enough for me. 5 star place.
Breakfast was delicious, host Michael was very accommodating with a slightly later check in due to my train as well as of assistance with my departure arrangements. Lovely hotel, 5 mins walk from town and coast and only half hour metro to Newcastle
Lovely welcome from Rosie for my one night stay. Room was excellent, clean, tidy and quiet. Everything I needed was provided. Free parking on the road. Many places in Whitley Bay you need to pay.
