Pendley Manor, hotel in Tring

This splendid manor house is set in 35 acres of wooded parkland and offers modern facilities in historic surroundings. The property boasts an indoor pool and a gymnasium.

The staff are amazing. Especially the General Manager, Chetan. The property is stunning. The food is excellent. The Peacocks add an air of serenity you just can’t put a price on and the pool is a massive bonus. I would recommend visiting Pendley Manor to anyone. Thank you!

The Olde Kings Arms, hotel in Hemel Hempstead

The Olde Kings Arms is an attractively restored 16th century coaching Inn, which offers comfortable air conditioned accommodation and is dog friendly in all rooms.

The accommodation is set separately behind the pub with its own access so quiet at night! Room was cosy. Bed excellent and very comfy. Largish bathroom with good shower. Air conditioning heating - which was fabulous once we'd read the instructions! Standard pub fare on site. Breakfast in the pub was very good with a range of cooked options. Location was on the old town high street. Worth a morning walk and down to Gadbridge Park. Brilliant find was a Thai restaurant on the high street, a 1 minute walk (Chiang Mai Cottage). Great value, lovely staff and busy on a Sunday night! Overall would be happy to stay again!

Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf and Spa, hotel in Luton

Set amid 1000 acres of beautiful English parkland, Luton Hoo boasts a luxury spa and golf course. Just 2 miles from Luton, it offers fine dining and elegant rooms that have hosted Queen Elizabeth II.

This is a hidden gem oozing charm and history. It’s is like stepping back in time where service and grandeur was the norm. Whilst, certain areas are in need of refreshment, all is forgiven because the setting coupled with the architecture just takes your breath away.

Whipsnade is a wonderful zoo in beautiful countryside. On a very wet day we got to see tigers play fighting, elephants chasing the zoo train and hippos rolling in the pool. It's the UK's largest zoo and you'll need your walking shoes but there is so much to see and do, and plenty of cafes.

Great pub stay. Staff extremely pleasant and welcoming.

Great pub stay. Staff extremely pleasant and welcoming. Made it clear they were there to offer any help required. I was a single adult staying only one night and the room was just right for that. Attractively well furnished, spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed. Brilliant, well furnished garden outside. In the countryside, Whipsnade Zoo within walking distance and close to Dunstable Downs so great area for walking and gliding! Not far from Woburn Abbey, other attractive small villages as well as Milton Keynes. Easy to find and close to Luton Airport with a nearby network of major routes such as the MI and train links only a short car distance away into London.
