Room was large, comfortable, clean and had all the facilities needed. There was a good selection for breakfast, lots of gluten free alternatives, and the hot breakfast was clearly identified with allergens. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful during my 2 night stay. I thought the walk to town was a fair way but it really wasn't, easily done in 15mins. Having parking was great too.
Situated on Weymouth’s Esplanade, the family-run Alexandra Hotel is ideally located; with the town centre and Weymouth Harbour and the beach located across the road.

Perfect location close to everything including the sea. Nice breakfast, and most importantly, the hotel manager was very helpful when I made an error on my booking and offered advice on where to visit. A lot of thought has gone into the property and it has a literary theme. Definitely coming back here.

It is a very welcoming town. Lots to do, very friendly.
It is a very welcoming town. Lots to do, very friendly. When it’s open,
Nothe Fort is very much a must - do. For coffee, Finka in the town centre is excellent. The Black Dog pub is very good, as is ‘Enzo’ for Italian food. All in all, Weymouth for shops, the beach, eateries and the history of the area are excellent.

I think Weymouth is looking up.
I think Weymouth is looking up. I am 71 but had a ride on the horse carisole. The small fair ground is quite pretty. I went to the Jazz cafe in town, loved it, honest delicious healthy cooked breakfast.

Weymouth is a lovely seaside town and reminded me of childhood holidays. The town is interesting to walk around and had the kind of shops I would be interested in.
There are plenty of places to eat.

We have visited Weymouth a few times, this is the first time we have stayed there for a break. Really lovely town, great pubs, great restaurants, friendly people and when it's sunny a great place to visit.
The town is relatively flat, so easy to navigate. We visited Fort Nothe, well worth it.

Long sea front and promenade.
Long sea front and promenade. Town centre has lots of shops and there are numerous restaurants and cafes. Harbour area is a nice place for a casual stroll, the old Fort is interesting to visit. There is a country park and an RSPB site a few minutes ride from the centre of Weymouth. Excellent local bus service and local trains. Would highly recommend Hamilton's Restaurant.

All areas of the hotel, bars, restaurants, lounges and bedrooms were bery well decorated. All staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms were clean and comfortable and food was freshly cooked and served to you at the table instead of the buffet style meals that most hotels seem to offer these days. A refreshing change and certainly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Weymouth.
We were really pleased with our stay at Gloucester House as it is a very nice hotel, modern and with all the facilities needed. It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in Weymouth as it is on the esplanade and short walking distance from the landmark train, on/off on buses and train. The staff are very good, especially Jonathan the owner who was very friendly and helpful.
Great location; overlooking Weymouth Beach at the front of the hotel and Weymouth harbour at the rear. Walking distance to the town centre and other attractions. Very friendly staff. Good value for money.
