Clive was very welcoming. The rooms were very homey and comfortable, and both rooms accommodated our family of 5. Our children had enough room to play and move around. We all enjoyed the breakfast, and we appreciated him making reservations for us at he local pub.
We loved the area and the view. If we are ever back in the area, we will be sure to book again!

Went away to celebrate a birthday and were treated amazingly throughout our stay. Booked a double room and got upgraded to a king deluxe with a river view. Had a free cookie each upon arrival. Got four free drinks vouchers. Had free fancy cakes waiting in the room along with a birthday card and balloons from the staff. The king bed was so big, plenty of space for two. Had dinner down at the restaurant one night and the portion sizes were ginormous. The food tasted delicious.

This is a lovely hotel. With great amenities.
It's historical and very central.
The staff are nice and they try very hard to make your stay memorable

Clive, the host is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were well appointed, the beds were very comfy and the en-suite bathrooms and showers were great. The best bit was the breakfast. Such an amazing choice, with freshly baked bread, cooked to be warm for us at breakfast, and a big bowl of fresh fruit salad, plus fruits, juice, tea/coffee and cereals, yoghurts. We made the most of it before we set off to continue our hike around Bath countryside.
We had stopped off in a local pub for dinner on our way, and ended up getting very comfortable there, so we set off quite late to The Westwoods on foot. We tried to get a cab, but it was going to be £30 for a 5 minute ride, so we walked, which was fine except it was starting to get dark. We found it OK with google maps, and Clive was there to welcome us with a smile.

Quaint village with a local pub.
Quaint village with a local pub. Endless views of the English countryside. Quiet and relaxing. Convenient location - we were able to day-trip to Glastonbury, Cheddar, Wells, and Bath. Nearby Trowbridge has a lovely old church we visited.

I booked the westwoods for my mums 60th birthday and loved the whole experience, we all did. We chose to have breakfast in the morning, and tbh I didn't expect anything amazing, but we loved the croissants, and the coffee was delicious!! Overall experience was lovely, and the hosts were super friendly. I definitely stay again!
