This was our second visit and we intend to go back another time. Avril and Keith made us really welcome, the room was lovely and the breakfast exceptional. The Yellow House is also in a glorious setting. A very enjoyable weekend.

The room was clean and had everything we needed.
Over night there was heavy snow and we were permitted to stay in the hotel while the roads were clear.

My wife and I were in Otterburn for a wedding so only stayed 1 night. The room was very clean and comfortable.
We were contacted by the owner on our way there to tell us that their hot water system had broken down and if asked we wanted to cancel. As it was only 1 night and we would be out most of the time it wasn't an issue. Nothing much the owner could do especially on a Sunday.

A tiny hamlet in the middle of the East Pennines, right on the A68, so a busy road. But that road makes it easy to get out and about so good as a touring base into Northern England, including Hadrian's Wall, and the Scottish borders.
