Looe is a lovely picturesque town, with a good range of shops to visit. Organised as a network of little side roads to explore. Some lovely old buildings and look up as well as around. In the summer season, the beach is very good and clean.
The 20-something minute train to Liskeard is worth doing along the valley.

Beautifully maintained town with loads of history. You need to leave the car at the hotel and walk if you can otherwise you may miss a load of interesting features.
Make sure you get to walk on the beaches and down Banjo pier.
If you are up for a really good dining experience the Sardine Factory is up there with some of the best Ive ever been to.
Just a note of caution - it is very hilly in parts!

A very beautiful and cosy fishing village nestled between the hills and the sea. There are plenty of great spots for scenic photos, great cafes and restaurants and many shops for gifts, clothes and groceries. I definitely recommend visiting, it has a great atmosphere and many things to explore!

Weather was very good when we visited, and Looe was extremely busy (we thought). We had to negotiate many dogs, pushchairs and traffic using the pavements! Even the Beach was busy - which was good to see for mid September. Bars and shops were also well used

Close to all the amenities of Looe and the beach just a couple of minutes walk away through the town. Lovely treats on arrival. Comfy beds, smart bathroom, great galley style kitchen in what was historic hotel passageway with great view to people watch from breakfast bar. Clock tower is great for checking the time! It's chime is surprisingly quiet and calming.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff and owner were Friendly. The Hotel location for the town centre shops, restaurants and pubs was ideal. It had a little bar so drinks are available which in good weather can be drank outside overlooking Looe Estuary.
The sea view from our balcony was amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and informed of the facilities on offer. The hotel is in a great spot for exploring Looe and only a short walk from town.
Rich- the host of the property was amazing. He also took the trouble to point out some lovely places to visit and places to eat to fit around our time in Cornwall. He was also very attentive and made us feel very welcome!
