I was very disappointed actually, it’s actually the 4th time i have stayed and I will not be booking again
Hotel Cromwell Stevenage was once a farm house and home to John Thurloe, secretary to Oliver Cromwell. The property is close to the A1(M) and just 10 minutes’ drive from Knebworth Park.
Located around 5 minutes from national rail links at Welwyn Garden City Station, the Best Western Homestead Court Hotel is also near to the major business parks at Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield.

From arrival to departure, everything exceeded expectations. The.Hotel was very well presented, the suite was excellent - spacious, well appointed and very clean. Bed was comfortable and the room perfectly heated for the cold night outside. Each member of staff was pleasant, warm and executed their job with professionalism and efficiency. I would both recommend and vist again.

Welwyn is not much bigger than a village but it had plenty of hotels, restaurants and cafes that provided a very good selection of places to stay, eat and drink. As we ate at the White Hart Hotel, we are unable to give an opinion about other eating places. Welwyn was a lovely place to walk around. Unfortunately, the weather was dismal and wet, so we were not able to explore any further than the main street and a few small roads leading off this. There was more traffic than we would have expected but our hotel was very quiet during the night. Welwyn Garden City adjoining Welwyn is obviously a much larger place but we didn't visit this area because of the weather.

Wonderful city!
Wonderful city! Loved the old houses and beautiful flowers everywhere- met a few friendly locals and enjoyed a bit of charity shopping. Busses were easy to use and accepted cashless payments which was a bonus.
We ate and stayed at The White Hart which was incredible and offered the most amazing food.

I was in the area to visit family and since they didn't have room for me I stayed in this hotel/restaurant/pub. It was very comfortable and the room was quiet even with the bar downstairs. The bed was comfortable, which is always important! I had the option to have my room refreshed every day if I chose to. Welwyn is a cute village and I always felt safe. I didn't eat in town since I was visiting family but there are lots of places to eat.
